Hello! I have finally got to the point where I think that bookkeeping software would be helpful to monitor my cash flow. I was wondering what Captains use, and what you think about it. I am in the UK and registered as a Sole Trader and I do my accounts on the cash basis, so my financial affairs are relatively simple. I currently use Excel to…[Read more]

Review February 2018
What went well?
I am pinning, keeping up with IG and my emails. I have made all my blog posts until April (just have to do one for March 14), 8 posts in total. I finished my Q1 map and decided to have 3 crazy goals. Let’s see how that goes.
1. I want to have 3 swatches of fabrics in the shop for the Allison bag by March 1…[Read more] -

Review January 2018:
What went well?
This month I got all systems set up again, content calendars, topics for new blog posts, financial documents, etc. I am also almost finished with Chart your Stars. I figured out my North Stars are GROWTH & COURAGE. I just need to put my goals and commitments in the yearly overview. But I have to say, I took…[Read more]

Is anyone going to TNNA at the end of January 2018?
If so, would love to meet up and say hello, have a drink or share a meal.

@dawn-craig Oh, thank you! I can flat dry, but since I don't knit I just don't have any space or materials to do blocking properly. I will contemplate!

The blocking is going to be more based on the pattern, not the yarn. Any lace shawl will need blocking. You can make a lace weight shawl that doesn't have a lacey pattern and not blocking won't be an issue like it would be with a lacey pattern. I'd lay it flat to dry, but I lay all hand knits flat to dry.

@lindsey-spoor Thank you! It is not super late, and I'm not vegan, just allergic to ALL THE THINGS. XD
Is the linen washable without having to block it afterwards? That's my other problem, I can't block anything for non-knitting cat owner reasons, which has kept me from buying some really lovely-looking yarn in the past (for friends to make me…[Read more]

Heya, Amy-
I know this is super-late, and you may have already found what you're looking for… but here goes.
For a non-animal laceweight – Claudia Hand Painted Yarns has a 100% linen laceweight. I carry it in my shop, but I haven't gotten to getting it up in the online shop. If you're interested, let me know and I'll shoot some pictures your…[Read more]

I'm not a knitter, but I know a lot of y'all! I have one friend who is willing to help me out in my eternal quest for a washable knit lace shawl in a nice yarn, and I thought perhaps some of you guys would have a base you can sell us or a recommendation?
My important qualities:
– no animal fiber (I'm allergic to wool, alpaca, etc)
– washable…[Read more] - Load More
