I am tabitha – knit designer, tech editor, dabbler in sewing and other fiber arts, and general nerd. I also hate introducing myself. So there it is.

When I had a bunch of intro emails, I would get a few responses but also a bunch of unsubscribes from people who thought it was too much, especially if it overlapped with my monthly pop-up gallery. I condensed it down to one and haven't had any problems since.

I find that dump of initial emails very annoying, and I am way more likely to unsubscribe if I receive them. They feel unsolicited. If I have signed up for an email list, it's because I want product updates, promo updates, all the other stuff is akin to telemarketing calls – even if I like the offer, I won't deal with telemarketers out of…[Read more]

@diana969895 I am not a baker. I cook a lot, but don't do much in the way of desserts. I can do a great cake if I need to, but I'm usually bored by the time I get to any presentation niceties. Bakers always want me to measure, and I don't want to. Somehow my stuff comes out just fine, but I don't consider myself a baker.
