I wanted to celebrate that I just passed $1k in sales on my online shop for March! Last year, my goal all year long was to get my online retail sales consistently to $1k/month – but aside from Nov/Dec, I only made the goal in one month. And this quarter I was actually focused on wholesale, not retail. Go figure. ;p Also, yeay!!

Okay, I made a lot of revisions based on the tips everyone gave me in chat. Let me know what you think before I send it out. Thinking that I will try to send on the first Wednesday of every month, so the first one will be April 5th. All of the links worked in preview format even though they don't work in the screen capture.

It always brightens my day when I see one of you outside here! I love it! Even if we just comment or like the same post or photo. It's just nice that I've gotten to know so many of you <3

Yeah normally I feel fine physically. It's more mentally. Of course since my surgery I've been in more pain but that's gotten a lot better recently.

That actually fits perfectly with the book I'm reading Nicole! She calls them power ups and I'm going to start listing some each week.

@amy-crook I love the umbrella but I've done my next news already. Let me know if the sale gets extended.
@nichole-van-gremberghe that is a nice post! I liked your page. No children, but interesting!

I woke up today with a sore throat, so I rolled over and went back to sleep and missed chat, oops!
What’s going well? I had my post-op doc appt yesterday and I'm doing really well! Everything's healing nicely and all seems to be on track to be better. I realized that I've got about as much energy/spoons now as I did for all of last year, so I h…[Read more]

I pretty much agree with what everyone here has said.
1) 70/30 is good… I honestly don't think I'd go below that as a dyer because it's not worth not having the yarn to sell myself at that point.
2) This would make me say no. From a maker's point of view I'm risking everything with a fee. I don't have my yarn to sell and I'm paying you for…[Read more]

Whatcha workin on? What’s going well?
The studio is edging nearer to completion. I unpacked my rolling mill and my flexshaft. I still need to bolt the rolling mill to the table, which entails figuring out what size bolts to get and actually getting them, along with marking the table, drilling the table, etc.
Tomorrow I'll do some more studio s…[Read more]

I have consigned with a number of shops over the years. As a consigner, here's my perspective:
1. 70/30 is a great split and makes me want to work with you! 60/40 is more typical (at least for jewelry and the shops I've worked with), and I've even seen shops with 50/50 in high-rent areas like the San Francisco Bay Area. Are you planning to…[Read more]
