Here's my anti-map Q2 map. 😉 I'm using my beloved 3×5 index cards and https://realtimeboard.com to make it. Yes it looks different from what I posted earlier. I was having a heck of a time adding everything when using my laptop (smaller screen than my desktop), so I finally said what if I turn it on it's side? BINGO! Now I can also see how “far…[Read more]

Whatcha workin on? What’s going well?
<James Brown voice> I FEEL GOOD! </James Brown voice>
I just sold the last of the remaining inventory!!! There is nothing left to sell! That means HFY is officially closed! (Ok, I still have to do some legal stuff, but let me bask in the glow here…) I posted about it: h…[Read more]

@tawny-reynolds, Great timing. I'll put it in my newsletter.
@lisa-barnes I just noticed yours from last week, so I'll grab that too. Same for you @michelle-ecklor. Newsletter goes out tomorrow.
@Tanja, I've already got yours. But if you have something new, I'll add that. -

Going well: Coming off my really great fiber festival, I got several orders for sweater quantities of yarn. Posting one of those orders on Instagram led directly to another custom order as well as that person buying quite a few more skeins of yarn from the online shop. So it feels good to be sending out large quantities of yarn to people!
Working…[Read more]

I forgot to do this last week, but this is a celebration for both @penny-shima-glanz and me. We did a revamp of my website and it went off pretty seamlessly. There are things that you don't notice until you start using it, so we still have a list of things to change or tweak, but it is pretty and shiny and looks fabulous!

@leigh-kristensen, yeah, I know. But when I start doing a map some part of me just freaks out. I have my goals, I have lists, so I know I'm doing it, I just don't “create a map”. My goals this quarter are:
Get my Swatch Workshop set up so it can be repeated
Prepare and Launch my Online Grading Course
Work on my Pattern Redo project with eye to…[Read more] -

@annette-petavy I'm happy to have you as my twin! I agree with you–it saves me having to ask people to shift to my business page. Of course I love it when they do, but really, I've got more important things to do.

Thanks, guys. I'm really happy with how I have my Facebook separated. I want to use it for personal reasons (I have a lot of friends from grad school and the mom's group back in Indiana I was in when Luke was first born, for example, that I keep up with through FB) and do not want my personal account and business page to mix. I can see how there…[Read more]

I think I might be @jill-wolcott ‘s secret twin because recently I always seem to say that I do the same thing as Jill. Hi Jill! 🙂
The advantage of using your personal feed as an extension of your business page is that personal profiles seem to be treated more favorably by the FB algorithm. If people simply like your page once (without selecting…[Read more] -

I do what @jill-wolcott does. My Facebook presence is strictly for business. On my profile, I post the slightly less business related stuff; the goofy stuff that shows the nerd that I am. On my FB page, I post stuff more specifically related to business. I don't want to make the mistake of posting personal stuff that gets distributed more widely…[Read more]
