Normally, I publish my subscription patterns on the first of the month. This month, I did not make it. But no-one seamed to find fault with it apart from myself.
And now it is uploaded, all nice and shiny: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/lady-mint
I also got my technique newsletter for Patreon done today. Now, the rest of the week will be…[Read more] -

So I kept my Etsy shop but also created a store using WooCommerce and WordPress. I still get the sales from the searches on Etsy, but I also drive my traffic to my own website. For my site, I just have to pay for hosting ($7/mo) and the annual SSL certificate (that's what tells folks your site is secure and they can shop on it) which is $50/yr. I…[Read more]

@linda-tieu Not sure you can hire someone to do those taxes for you (apart from a tax accountant, but they just prepare the numbers) but for example, Ravelry has the setting to do everything for you. It does just not work for me that way because it would mean that my German customers would have to pay more.
And even if you have just one EU-sale in…[Read more] -

@linda-tieu, for those places that handle VAT themselves, I don't do anything. For the other places (in my case, Ravelry), I collect each EU-payment (that is not German) in an excel-like file, sorted by country, and every three months, I log in to the German financial system that handles it and type in the sum for every country. Their tax sum…[Read more]

I've updated my schedule. Here it is. Anyone out there looking to be interviewed, just let me know. It doesn't have to be knitting/yarn related. Sundrops Jewelry was pretty popular. 😉 I've also done an upholsterer. You just have to be creative and have a business (or be putting one together). If you have a book or something that you are…[Read more]

Whatcha workin on? What’s going well?
I've got everything ready for the audit that I can. There are some things that I just don't have, including things that I don't even know what they are, but I've got a lot of stuff. My taxes will be ready for me to pick up Monday, so that will be the last thing on the list that they want to see.
I'm making l…[Read more]

@linda-tieu, I handle my EU taxes myself, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

@linda-tieu, don't be too honored! It is totally a favor for me too. But I love my little interviews. I'm going to think about printables, but I also want to do a collaboration with you. I'll contact you privately. It may be June because I'm crazy right now.

@nicole-van-gremberghe I've been using it to send out handouts for classes. I have a free class as well that is just done via automation. I plan to do other things. Mail Chimp is not intuitive for me so I have to get help which is kind of a pain. I can do the nuts and bolts, but trying to figure out their instructions baffles me!

@linda-tieu you might want to look at this thread too. I want you to be a guest on my blog in December.

@tabitha-dukes I was putting you in December, and then thought maybe January makes more sense for services. I'm going to see if @linda-tieu would like to go in December.

The Fashion Show has been open to all in the past…no fee. I am sure it will be this year. There will be information about where it is in all of the information you get at registration. It is usually in one of the break out rooms. Also, I'll be there Friday morning…so let me know if you need a hand or just want sounding board.

I am so excited!! Yes, I will be there and can't wait to see all of your faces!! I can meet you all after 6:00pm on Saturday when the hall closes. Since I am a newbie, I am playing it all by ear!
I am arriving on Friday and setting up my table (not a booth so it should be easy peasy) then I am finished for the day. If you see me wandering…[Read more]

Interested in this conversation.
I realized recently that one of the main reasons I'm still on Etsy is just straight up indecision. I can't decide between Woo commerce and Shopify. I've heard so many great things about both! I think I need to sit down and write out a pro/con list.
