I'm so sorry @jill-wolcott. Settling estates can raise so many differences in families, so I hope it's plan sailing for you.

I absolutely abhor marketing via text message. Perhaps SMS is just one of the last bastions of one to one, personal communication for me. I actively stop using businesses that market at me via SMS. Even ones I've had a good relationship with.

Whatcha workin on?
My #artmorning (I decided on a hashtag!) is becoming a habit.
I'm finishing the draft for a shawl pattern that will be published on June first.
And then, there are a ton of things I should do and I might get some of them done… Today it will get really hot so I don't plan much since heat tends to knock me out.

As a customer, I want to decide if I want to notice an ad or not. So an email is okay and something in my snail mail, too. But a phone call or an sms would turn me off the product immediately.

Not something I'd consider. I only allow a VERY select few into my text messaging – especially since I'm limited (Tara's motivational texts are one of them 🙂

I did two big, amazing things this weekend/week: I made a press kit (minus one photo that I've got an appt to get taken), and I launched a line of fine art prints! Huge things I've been avoiding for awhile now, whew.

Today I'm just working on staying on top of the events. My mom's funeral is today, then I get to fly home. Most of what I have to do can be done from there, so my siblings who are staying a couple more days will get rid of the last of her things and I'll be working on wrapping up her estate.

Thanks @jess-cook! I think LYS are really tough to get in touch with because they are usually overwhelmed. I will send another newsletter saying the class is going forward, but it was a huge lesson on doing the hustle to get what I wanted!

Even though I check email and other social media on my phone, I consider my phone, especially my text messages to be more “private” (friends and family). So I would personally hate getting marketing messages through text.

With email and social media, I choose when I want to read the messages/posts. With text messages, I would get a notification…[Read more]

I positively hate SMS marketing as a customer, so I wouldn't consider it as a biz owner. I feel it's much too invasive.
