I don't know about DK, but there is a Michigan-milled worsted that is out of this world. It's called Shepherd's wool. It was used to make Olympic official sweaters for the Olympians. It's very wonderful. Soft, and 1 million colors. Well, not all of a million.
But I am writing to you now, after TNA. I bet you already got…[Read more]

I thought of all of you last weekend! I missed seeing all of you, but I did not miss the exhaustion. (Last year, or maybe it was the year before, I was so exhausted from the months of preparation and the day of setting up my booth, that by the time Saturday morning arrived, I was literally too exhausted to speak a coherent sentence.) I'm glad it…[Read more]

Ann (@ann-tudor),
I totally agree with Lisa. So proud of you and all of your hard work! …not to mention your fabulous product. Every time I dropped by, you had another stack of orders. Shops were lining up to get on your list. Some of your good vibes even rubbed off on bystanders. I got a few possible teaching gigs just by standing at your…[Read more]

YAY! Ann! I'm so so happy for you and proud of you!
Lisa, I think about it all the time! @laurinda-reddig has a space, in the PacNW where we've discussed it. Also there's so much prettiness near Varian and I…

@ann-tudor, I am SO HAPPY AND PROUD OF YOU for being a vendor this year, knowing that you hadn't even attended a TNNA in the past and therefore a little hesitant to jump in as a seller. I knew you'd do well, your products are awesome!
And I agree, @varian-brandon‘s coat stole the show! (do you have a photo you can email to me to put in my…[Read more]

Special thanks to @penny-shima-glanz, @varian-brandon, and @lisa-barnes for checking in and taking care of me! Wonderful to hang out and talk with everyone who was there!…[Read more]

Sounds like you made the right decision, @lea-ann-mcgregor! I hate to say it, but I've noticed in the yarn industry there's a large group of people who want to blame the market for their inability to make sales, rather than looking inward and experimenting with new ideas to improve their sales. It will probably be a LOT better for you, in the long…[Read more]

@jill-wolcott I mean in the PDF itself, so if I'm knitting a sweater you designed and really enjoy the process, at the end of the pattern I can click a hyperlink from the PDF to sign myself up for your newsletter.
It doesn't hurt to put it on the Ravelry pattern listing for each pattern, either. That way maybe I see your pattern and I like it but…[Read more]

OK @varian-brandon, now that the fashion show is over can we see a picture? I'm dying to have a visual to go with this description!!
I think this is definitely a project that can pay off in name recognition. Also, I'd like to remind you, there are knitters who make their own wedding dresses. I once knew a spinner who spindle-spun sample sized…[Read more]

I used to have this problem in PicMonkey with one of my client's fonts – the really weird thing was that the fonts showed up if I used MS Edge, but not Chrome. I stumbled upon that one by accident. Now Chrome has her fonts in it, too, just seemingly at random.
I also love Canva but it doesn't have all my fonts so I just have to pick other ones I…[Read more]

@lindsey-spoor There is always one bully in the playground! Keep conducting you business with dignity and integrity. Your customers will respect you for that. And don't let their words become an affirmation. (That's probably the hard part.)
