I just came back from Paris yesterday. It is too hot and I gave myself a day off. Seems like I'll end up spending it catching up on social media. Might turn out it is almost my last check-in here…

I totally agree with Carmen, @rachel-brooks. So far, my best-selling patterns were those I made because I wanted to make them, not because anyone else or “the market” asked me for them. If you follow your enthusiasm, you'll do your best work.

Hi everybody, just wanted to let you know that I will be away these next few weeks. Taking a vacation with my lovelies. I hope I have everything ready in the business. Having a banner on my website and I have been scheduling some important posts on IG. Now packing our bags and car are on the agenda for this afternoon and off we go tomorrow…[Read more]

I just wanted to share some recent experiences in case they might help someone else out.
My online shop is on Shopify, and one of the features is the ability to see “abandoned carts” (people who have added something to their cart and got almost all the way through the buying process but just didn't click the final buy button). I can send an email…[Read more]

Sometimes buckling down and/or setting deadlines works for me, @rachel-brooks. Sometimes.
Does it really matter if a design is interesting/appealing to others? If you like it, more than likely there are others that would agree. Your people 🙂

I'm planning to migrate from madmimi to mailerlite in the next month or so. I don't find mailchimp very intuitive for me. I look forward to reading your comparison of mailerlite to mailchimp.

This is really interesting, thanks for bringing it up @tanja-osswald and thank you for listing out the points, @varian-brandon, because if I'm honest with myself there's no way I was ever gonna look up the video but I enjoyed reading the points!!

If anyone else has Mailchimp questions, I'd love to hear them! All through July I'm going to be comparing MailChimp vs. MailerLite for my own use and for my newsletter subscribers, so along the way I would love to solve common problems and answer questions you may have about either platform!

I'm so happy that it worked out so well for you, @ann-tudor!!!
I keep waffling about joining as part of the Business & Creative Services section, and your experience continues the nudging I need in that direction. I just wish it were still going to be in Columbus next year, instead of Cleveland!

I've also been using Link in Profile and paid for the year after my trial. I really love it and feel that it's helped a lot in leading people to various links.
What I like most about it is that people can go to my link and find the picture that first led them there and click on the link. With something like linktree, it's just a list of links as…[Read more]
