So it sounds like you don't like blogging…but you do like your newsletter?
How about letting your blog go (or just using it to post podcast episodes + a weekly IG round-up?)? If your newsletter is growing so fast, and if you don't dislike, I'd keep it! You can always scale it back a bit (and focus on CTAs to your own goodness!), but I'd let the…[Read more] -

YESS! I'm glad you (all!) are having these realizations. The question of “would it be ok?” has two answers:
1. Of course!
2. It depends on what role your blog plays now.
If your blog is WHY people come to you, how they follow you, and how they know you, then changing it will be a bigger deal. But if instead they first find you via your books or…[Read more] -

@amy419799 it was so difficult to get there. Not deciding I don't want to do it, but getting cooperation and then deciding to spend my mom's money on the helper (because I don't want it, and don't care if my sibs get it). It was really just sticking to it, and easing everyone into going along. So it took a year. But I did it!

@ruth1492194 Can you come and be irked at my terrible housekeeping, too? 😉 Congrats for getting so much done!
@jill1504917 That's a lot of good results from a decision that had to have been difficult. So three cheers – yay for making it, yay for implementing it, and yay for having it work out so well!

I was driving home from seeing my mom. My brother has been here for the past two weeks so I've been on hiatus. Just before he came I made arrangements for a senior helper to come on Thursdays to take my mom out for her cappuccino, run errands, etc. Yesterday was the first solo Jane/Senior Helper afternoon. They went to the cleaners (my mom loves…[Read more]

I'm going to TNNA in San Diego. I know Tara is too. I'll be posting on the appropriate thread about a meet up on Saturday.

Did any of you manage to register for the webinar? The countdown was erratic and the register link just takes me to an empty new tab…

What I'm working on: I published my hat pattern, yay!! Also, the usual things like dyeing yarn, listing them in the shop, etc.
What's going well: The pattern release! So excited about it and proud of myself for finally self-publishing a knitting pattern.
What I need help with: I posted this in the “signal boost” thread as well but if you are…[Read more]

GO YOU!
See I can't just leave housework unattended. It just IRKS me so badly. Earlier in the year when one of my friends was unemployed we discussed renting a workspace (she does dyeing, I do my design/edits), mostly because we both get so wrapped up with house stuff we end up delaying work progress for it. Alas, she got a day job (boo!!) and…[Read more]

My first self-published pattern is now available on Ravelry!
I've been working on this for a while and am excited and proud that I've met this goal.
The pattern link is here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/galactic-hat
If you'd like to help me out by heart-ing and/or queuing the pattern on Ravelry or sharing it on social media, I…[Read more]

I'm feeling rather chuffed with my productivity today. In the time I have while the kids were at school I managed to release a pattern, write a newsletter for that release, record, edit and release a podcast and actually have lunch and a cup of tea! Some days just work don't they?
p.s. the breakfast dishes are still on the sink and the washing…[Read more] -

Thank you, @kimberley92988 and @tanja467710 for your helpful comments!
Kimberley: I was definitely going to pick a “cap” for how many spots to open in the club as I definitely don't want to get overwhelmed with more than I can handle. A big part of me doubts I'd get anywhere close to whatever number I pick as a cap, but then again, I might be…[Read more]

oh Sasha lots of {{hugs}} and kitten snuggles, purrs, and love.
May you find comfort. While I can't know your loss and grief as I am not you, I can agree that the hole in your heart will never completely heal but the pain of it does lessen in time. Be warned, the most random thing will spark a memory and the wave of grief will wash over you as…[Read more]
