If the suggestions you have here don't work, email Katie of Yarn Love or Cate of Infinite Twist or Ana of Toil and Trouble (just email me for their addresses, if you need them), as I know they all kees bases + colorways in stock and could (probably) get some to you in time. (Also, both Infinite Twist and Toil + Trouble have told me they are…[Read more]

I would just leave off the candy, as I don't want grubby-handed kids touching my stuff! 🙂
As for the conversation, a non-confrontational way of handling it would be to go out in front of the group that was talking and say “hello” to passing people. And/or move more of your stuff from behind them, out to the front corners. The minute someone…[Read more] -

You've got such good feedback here, Karen!
I just spotted this post (written by Starshipper Stephanie!) about her club and thought of you: http://whileshenaps.com/2015/01/subscription-club.html -

This is so good to hear Libby! I think of you as a story teller and someone who is genuinely interested in people so its really interesting to hear you mention both those things here.

@kathleen419793 I'd be interested in working with you on the yarn front. I think my Camelot base, which is a blend of merino, cashmere, and nylon would make a nice sweater. (I've been wanting to make one for myself in that base). One skein is 435 yds. I can dye two skeins for your in whichever colorway you'd like as early as tomorrow (which would…[Read more]

Hi Kathleen,
I have a 3 ply fingering weight yarn. The yarn has 2 plies of wool and 1 of alpaca. So there is a soft heathery look. It comes in skeins of 450 yards so you would need 2 for your sweater. This is a millspun yarn from from my farm. I just got this back from the mill so I have yet to dye a lot. You can look at this listing…[Read more]

So, Sasha and I are going to work something out yarn-wise for a future project, since the yarn deadline of “before 1/15/16 so I can show it on Episode Two” isn't going to work this time.
@lisa1588548 or @riin249410, might you have 800yds or so of fingering weight yarn (wool or wool blend) you could get to me before January 15th that I could use…[Read more]

@tanja467710 Re: Jumping to last unread reply – I am open to suggestions if you know what will make BBPress do this! (I avoid all forums everywhere but here, other than just to see what other people are using, and Rav is the only place I've found it, but I would LOVE to find a solution!)

tara replied to the topic Should I change my business name? in the forum Engineering 9 years, 6 months ago
So…I'm the BIGGEST fan of using your name (married or maiden). Even difficult to spell or say. Or heck, how about just “joeli”?
You can use “Joeli Knits” (I would skip the possessive because it's hard to remember!) as a blog name or a “brand name” (like, the “publisher” of your patterns)…but I think the more your work is tied to your name,…[Read more] -

@tanja467710 – The link to the welcome page is in the footer of every page on my site – just scrollllll down, then look to the left, at the very bottom, it says “Are you a Starship Captain?”
But also, there isn't a “log in page”, you can log in from any page on the Starship (if you are not logged in, you'll get the “Log in now” message). So it's…[Read more] -

I'm going to vote for Joeli Knits for your change because some of those other names have the exact same problem as Joeli's Kitchen, in that they won't make sense to people without an explanation. Plus, it's got the same initials, which will help some people to link it to the old you! (I am, of course, not a knitter, so grain of salt etc)
