Here's my introduction from half a year ago, when I joined the Starship, slightly updated.
I'm Tanja and I'm from Germany. Though for a long time I did not realize it, I've been a designer all my life and everything I learned in life lead up to this job. 🙂 I learned how to crochet when I was six and it never even occurred to me to work…[Read more]

Hi Tanja,
I don't have a color card. My colors change too often for that. As to bases, the easiets way to look at those is on Ravelry in the yarn database. I can no longer get the base that was Roister. The base that was Wassail has been reformulated to be 55/45 BFL/silk rather than the 50/50 it was.
Let me know if you need more information.

Sounds good. 🙂 Do you have a color card and a list of your yarn bases somewhere? I just browsed your shop a little, I might have overlooked it.

@linda53968, oh I did not intend that you should give away your course for free. I just meant that you should not worry too much about gathering customers first – after all, once there is a big need, there will be other classes by other persons drawing your Right People to their websites…

Well, last night I was on the fence, but today I'm leaning towards Orkney, so I can use some of @natalie1318297‘s buttons, perhaps these https://www.etsy.com/listing/249899279/tiny-blue-buttons-set-of-6-hand-made?ref=shop_home_active_16. Although Lunette with the little leaves would be very pretty and Spring-like…[Read more]

Ladies, you have given me great things to think about. @tanja467710 It's interesting that you say that because I started offering another free course (Simplified Photo Editing) to all those that subscribe. That course includes 7 videos and gets them using Picmonkey. But the Shopify ecourse is kind of a replacement for me consulting and doing a…[Read more]

What has helped me is to start writing blog posts answering the questions that my readers are going to have before they buy. So for example my people need to know “do I have time to become a tech editor?” “What skills does it take to be a good editor?” I write those posts and then I also send them to my newsletter list. And I make sure those posts…[Read more]

Will your ecourse just be available for a certain time? If not, why not offer it as your classic, drawing your Right People to your site?

Yay! I'm so excited, @kathleen419793!
Did you want to make a choice between those two colors, or did you want me to pick one of the two and surprise you?
And I'll add a section in my next Round Table Yarns newsletter about your podcast! 🙂

Thanks, Tara! Katie and I are working on a project now, and I think things are going to work out with Karen this time. But I will keep Ana and Cate in mind.
Thanks, again!

Karen, this sounds great! I'm torn between Lunete and Orkney (and all your other colorways). And the yarn sounds scrumptious.
Between you and @lisa1588548 and @sasha1206303, I feel like a kid in a candy store! As an art director, I know a fair bit about color, but I could never do what you all do 🙂
So, let me know what else you need from me.…[Read more]

Im not in the yarn industry but that sounds crazy to me. A retailer shouldnt be dictating your business decisions. I sell craft supplies both wholesale and retail. Only once i had a potential retailer spout off about online sales. Whats interesting is ghat consumers are frustrated with retail shops that dont carry all the cool and new stuff they…[Read more]
