I agree with the other ladies. I only return the friend/follow/like if they have something I like. I don't subscribe to the like for a like mentality and figure if it offends someone then they can get glad the same way they got mad.

I don't friend back on Facebook (I rarely check my account there, either) or on Flickr.
On Ravelry, I do friend back because it gives me the opportunity to store some information on the person. I.e. I have a friend group for customers, for students, for testers, for people I met at a yarn festival, for people on the Starship…
I am not…[Read more] -

If someone friends me on Ravelry I don't friend back.
If someone follows me on IG I don't follow back.
If someone follows me on Twitter I don't follow back.
If someone follows me on Periscope, I check their bio to make sure they are okay and then don't follow back.
If someone follows me on Pinterest, I don't even check to know that they've…[Read more] -

I'm interested in opinions of what's generally accepted response behavior in the various social media platforms…meaning if someone friends or follows you, do you respond in kind?
Assuming friending in Ravelry is responded by in kind, but what about IG, Periscope, Twitter, or Penterest? I ask because I can see only following those you are…[Read more]

I just finished watching a class on Creative Live that I found extremely helpful. It's Bookkeeping for Crafters, and the instructor walks through lots of different parts of keeping track of financial information and has a lot of good resources, including some Excel spreadsheets that are already set up.
I learned quite a bit from it and have a…[Read more]

@alex-collins, you'll be very pleased to hear that I love Meredith right from her first email back to me in response to my enquiry. She's read my blog, perused all my stuff and immediately got the “essence” of what I'm about. Great start xxx

Hello there,
As I slowly Chart My Stars, it is becoming even more clear how disorganized my approach to financial information is, even tho' it has improved from years past. I just looked through all of the courses available and don't see one that looks like it deals with the nuts and bolts of bookkeeping and handling financial information.…[Read more] -

Whatcha workin on?
I enjoyed my busiest Christmas season ever but sold zero of the special holiday pillows I made up. So now, working on a refocus of getting more embroidery designs for sale because I seem to have maxed out on “selling” pillow designs right now and I feel like the passive income of selling designs I've already made is foolish…[Read more]

Ann, thanks for sharing that. I laid awake last night wondering if a design I was going to submit was just a diversion and if I should hold off. It is really good, but I think I'm going to follow your lead. Thanks.

So I am working through CYS and getting a clear vision of changes I need to make and where I want to go. I thought I had a couple North Stars yesterday but today when I sat down and looked at them, I condensed it. I tend to get scattered and try everything instead of being focused, so my North Star is now – GROWTH WITH INTENT. I want to grow…[Read more]

My North Star is going to be the same word as I actually chose to be my word for 2016 prior to doing Charting Your Stars. That word is: RENEW
I think that I have my quarterly goals chosen as well:
Quarter 1 – Coffee With C.C. book (releases mid-March)
Quarter 2 – Website Rehab
Quarter 3 – Tech Edit and Reformat Old Patterns
Quarter 4 – 2 Doctor…[Read more] -

Well @tara and @clare-devine – I've figured it out. I've got groups for newsletter readers and newsletter & blog readers and have made both a pop up for my site and an embedded sign up form that include options. I'm sure it is possible to make the form a whole lot prettier by figuring out how to change the CSS on my site but I've learnt enough for…[Read more]
