@angelique-stewart Nice! I never made it that far south while I was in oregon, sadly. Since you do fiber stuff, make sure you get up to Black Sheep Gathering in Eugene sometime! I'm going to try and squeeze the trip down for it in my schedule this year.

@mary-roth I'm in Jacksonville, up in the hills. I'm really missing the coast right now — I grew up half an hour from the coast, and this is the furthest I've ever lived from the ocean. I'll have to make the trip over soon, I think it's just 2 or 3 hours. I hear there are some beautiful drives to get there!

I see you've got a beginner spinning class on the list! I know I'm overseas and therefore probably not the most convenient for your prospective audience, but if you'd like a fiber discount code, let me know!

How is your map coming @angelique-stewart? I had a cold the second week of January and have been feeling a little behind ever since, so I'm right there with you!

Finally working on map making!
I feel like the four big things I made pages for in CYS are a great start on thinking about where I want to go, quarterly, but I also think that the first one (get all my biz/legal/tax stuff straightened out) is probably not big enough or encompassing enough to be an entire quarter long goal… or is it? I could…[Read more]

@linda-tieu @lesley-austin Yes, thank you! You're right, we have different niches but are all paper girls. 😉 The Starship is great for bringing people together, I know there's a class in the library with some great Right People exercises. I need to go through them again, myself!

Just wanted to say “hello” to you, @grace-shalom-hopkins! I enjoyed reading your post and wish you so well with all of your hopes and vision. Glad, glad you are beyond endo pain for now. I've ebbed and flowed with it my whole adult life (mostly ebbing, thank goodness) and am pleased to see it tapering off as I approach menopause. It can teach you…[Read more]

Nearly finished with my map-making and grateful for the clarity and a path to follow. Mine won't be a linear path, more like a labyrinth as I spiral around with the to-dos for each of my businesses and my overall goals. Since I work in paper each day with my creating and my plans and lists kept in my Daybook, I wanted something other than lists on…[Read more]

Glad to know you are here @linda-tieu …thank you for the shout-out. It is lovely to meet another paper-girl. : )
I visited your Etsy shop and site and enjoyed seeing your zines (they seem popular!). And I wish you so well with the membership site.

Thanks Mindy and Susan! Good thoughts. I do have some people in mind who are friends/acquaintances that I could ask in the first place to see how it goes. I appreciate your input a LOT!!

I've used a sample knitter in the past. I pay $0.15 to $0.25 per yard; price is determined based on the difficulty and size of the project. I've always given a deadline, and she confirms whether or not she can do it in the time given. I've always given plenty of time so it's never been a problem. I also make it clear that if she has any questions…[Read more]

Hi Lisa,
I have done some contract crochet for @Karen Whooley (Who is also a captain here). She would sent me the yarn and pattern and there would be a deadline to return the finished piece and leftover yarn to her. I don't know how she decided on the price she paid contractors but I felt her rates were quite generous. I don't knit but would be…[Read more] -

Good things to think about @amy-crook. I could set it up so they can pay through a Quickbook invoice. That may be my simple solution for payment.
I have a couple ways that I can do the line sheet that are simple and straight forward.
Yes, maybe I will consider it if they ask but not offer it otherwise.
Thank you!
