I just posted my first blog entry. It's my story about how I got where I am, quitting my day job, following my dream, inspiring others to follow their dreams. If this is something you think your audience would be interested in reading, I'd appreciate you sharing it:

Over the weekend I went over all of my pricing and package options for my wedding invitations! It took about 8 hours (gotta give a big thanks to my husband for helping out with the kids so I could focus on it) but I'm happy to say it is just about done. Now I am anxious to start designing more wedding invitations and then start taking photos of…[Read more]

@tara I've been having a think, are you familiar with the magazine Craft Seller? It is a UK title by Immediate publishing. http://www.immediate.co.uk/brands/craftseller/ I'm pretty sure they would run a feature on you, I also think they might be worth chatting to with regards to venues, classes etc. I have a number of contacts at Immediate, if…[Read more]

There's also A Yarn Story in Bath that runs business related workshops for crafty people. Possible location for those down south?

@jane-burns You'd be welcome to come to the retreat. We haven't officially announced yet as we still need to sign the contract with the hotel (I have another meeting with my co-coordinator today about this) and we need to finish working out the details with the teachers. If you're interested in being notified when everything is announced, you can…[Read more]

@jane-burns i don't think you are the only one in the south. @alex-collins is too! That's why I asked if you had ideas for venues. I wasn't sure where you were — London to Manchester direct is just over 2 hours by train. I totally get the long travel though as that's what I normally have to deal with when everything is only in London! 🙂

Hi Joeli, Manchester is about six hours by car for me and quite a trek for anyone in the South. I suggested London as it is the most accessible place for most, second to Birmingham. Love Tara as I do, Manchester would involve an overnight stay and two travel days, so it would be unlikely I would be able to attend. But it could be I am in the…[Read more]

@jane-burns could you easily come up to Manchester or have you an idea for a London venue near you (and accessible by rail)?

I've gotten the new domain names for the business- Knot JustCrocheted.com and Knot Just Sawdust .com; I also changed/ set up the names on Facebook and Etsy, and changed mine on Ravelry. Having logos designed on Fivver, then I'll update my cover pages and order the new banners and business cards. Still a way to go, but at least I've started.

Tanja Osswald replied to the topic Vision Board Workshop in the forum Engineering 9 years, 6 months ago
A vision board sounds kind of interesting but I'm not quite clear on what it really is and does.
What do you mean by “create”? The vision board itself? And what do you mean by “path”? Some esoteric path of life or something more concrete? Can you just write some more about what a vision board is about? Maybe a story about what a vision board you…[Read more] -
