@alex-collins I'm using GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping. It works out really well for me since I sell on Etsy and all transactions are automatically updated, even the ones via PayPal. All I have to do is manually enter the items I charge on my credit card and categorize them. At tax time, all I do is print out my Schedule C form and hand it over to…[Read more]

@elaine-vandiver, I'm glad it went well. I hate to be a downer, but I'm married to a lawyer, who is a risk-manager at heart, and I have had to extricate myself from a business when things got weird. Be preparing an exit strategy starting now. This will likely go well for a while, then deteriorate again. You will feel terrible in any event, so get…[Read more]

Thanks @kimberley-bridgwater. My plan is to put metric measurements into a table. It gets too long to have both in a string in each place the measurements appear in patterns. I'm going to see if I can make it clickable text that would flip back and forth in a pdf.
My tact is to throw out everything I can but Mitch's is to move everything to…[Read more]

Congrats on getting your patterns updated to metric in time! Will you be having both measurement systems in future patterns?
Having moved this summer, I'm with you on the denial about packing up the house, @jill-wolcott!

Many thanks for your input. It's truly appreciated. There are so many more things to think about than I thought. I'm aiming for the fall now, so I have time to sort through the responses and ideas and do it as right as I can for my business. Also, it give me time to build some more stock to keep it separate from the stock in my Etsy shop.…[Read more]

Yay! So…should we have a meal together? I mean, we can hang out whenever you see me and I'm not teaching, but I find it helps to have a central meet-up so in case we miss each other or don't get the chance to talk!
Friday night dinner? Or Saturday night? -

That's weird, @penny-shima-glanz, because I do get a “show images in browser” link, when I get the messages! And yep, I can see you clicked!
Also, searching for your name, I realized we have you with two email addresses! One for the SS and one for the other emails? Can I condense you under one? Which one? -

Hmm.
Do you not see a “trash” link at the top of a post you wrote? (near the “reply” and “edit”?)
