You have my sympathies about your situation! But I second Jill's advice: Phone her. Talking in person would be even better but that's not worth an 8 hour trip.
Maybe make a list before the phone call, about the issues you want to address and about the options you are willing to give her. -

what's going well? all the things! last week's launch went really well (the client took off Thursday/Friday! that's the best compliment for me) and I did get into the city! and I finally met @kathleen-dames in person!
what are you working on? I'm still getting caught up from that deadline. So I'm mixing up some of my systems a little (they're…[Read more]

Whatcha workin on?
All the things.
What’s going well?
I'm really grateful to Rob for picking up groceries and prescriptions for me all the time, because if I had to do that too, my head would explode.
How can we help?
See if you can figure out how I may not be screwed. https://taraswiger.com/starship-discussion/topic/im-afraid-i-might-be-screwed/

I started doing my taxes last night, you know, to figure out how much I'm going to owe so I can have that amount when it's due. The good news is, I have enough to pay my taxes. The bad news is, I made so little money, I owe $0.
While it's nice to not owe any money, um…well, I haven't actually finished doing my taxes yet, but it looks like I…[Read more]

Working on: Dyeing yarn for the fiber festival coming up in a little over a month. I'll be going on vacation for just over a week between now and then so I need to get as much done as possible now.
Going well: The first yarn club shipment went out last week and I've had an enthusiastic response to the yarn base, color, and included story for the…[Read more]

Wow. Yeah, she sounds like someone I would not want to do business with.
Did she pay for the 100 skeins, or is it if they sell at the trunk show then she'll pay you? There is no way I would dye 100 skeins of a colorway unless someone was buying them outright.
She definitely should have mentioned any problems with the scent asap. Expecting you…[Read more]

working on: After completing chart your stars and map making I created a plan. The plan is just sucking the joy out of my life. I'm giving myself permission to put the planner away, toss the to do list and unplug from my business. December was very successful but I can't create products or classes I don't feel congruent with. I've been really…[Read more]

Katie, Do you think you should pick up the phone to just get this over with one way or another? I think there is something else going on here, that may have nothing to do with you, but the imperfect and flat electronic communication isn't going to help you figure out what it the best thing to do for both of you. Even if you are going to withdraw…[Read more]

Hello Everyone –
I am having a customer service issue, which I fully admit is annoying me. I wanted to run it past you all since I know that an objective outside opinion is often helpful.I have a new customer who has invited me into her shop for a big shop hop event. Even though she's never seen Yarn Love in person, she has ordered:
* 100…[Read more]

What I'm working on: Dyeing yarn and preparing my 2015 taxes 🙂
What's going well: My last batch of mini skeins sold really well so I'm making more!
What I need help with: I'm not ever sure! I've been a little scattered lately 😉

Thank you for the suggestions @ Jeannie-Harwell. I looked at it from my phone and see what you mean about things not showing right on a mobile device. I need to work on the layout more- not happy with the background either. Will be adding more photos too.

Glad you got all that resolved @susan-heyn! It looks like you've got a good start on your website too!
I really liked your photography on the large images on your About page. I hope you'll be working more of those in (I know you're just getting started). Those were inviting. A big image might be nice on homepage.

Had to call GoDaddy because I somehow had 2 accounts and couldn't access my new domain names. It turned out to be a better deal to use GoDaddy to set up my site instead of staying with Weebly. Started to set up the new site- very much still a work in progress. Here's a link if anyone wants to take a look and let me know what you…[Read more]
