@karen-whooley I didn't use indesign. I just used OpenOffice and laid it out in a text document that I then converted to PDF.

Thanks so much @katie-franceschi! Caffeine isn't forbidden if it's in the form of coffee or tea, but no dairy or sugar in them. I can have coconut milk which is very lightly sweetened with grape juice, but I'll tell you, it's not my normal favourite milk and sugar with coffee. LOL! I'm getting used to it though. I've been able to reduce my pain…[Read more]

Thank you, @karen-robinson!
So there is no legal standard text that has to be on a website? It is all your choice whether you write about a privacy policy and other legal issues? -
Karen Robinson replied to the topic Legal text on a website? in the forum Engineering 9 years, 5 months ago
I don't know that there's a specific set wording that websites in the U.S. should have, but most websites have a Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy section. I recently watched a Creative Live class that talked about this: Increasing Trust in Your Online Business. The instructor, Kiffanie Stahle, is a lawyer who works with creative business…[Read more]

I think Tanja and Karen are right–and I think that will be easier for the LYSO to swallow.

Hi @karen-whooley: I had researched a BUNCH of online class platforms, including Moodle, lesson.ly, Brightspace, Blackboard, eLeap, LearnUpon, Digital Chalk, Thinkific, Coursecraft.net, and Ruzuku. I decided on using Thinkific. I've signed up for their service (free, then transaction fees per sale), and am in the process of creating the course…[Read more]

Crushed, especially for her husband and child. I lost my father at age 14, and it has totally molded my view of the world and how I interact in it.
Being widowed is devastating, I watched my mother go through it at age 38 and my brother at age 30. Having an infant at the same time? Unthinkable.
I do hope he has loved ones who can live with…[Read more]

I found an interesting article on things to do to improve your blog posts. Of course, we will each use the parts which work best for us personally. I don't worry much about SEO, because I have a niche market. I'm guessing many of us are in that same boat. However,
I particularly liked this person's angle on how to make Pinterest work better.…[Read more]

For German websites, there's always a lot of stupid legal text that has to be on there or you can get sued.
Is there something similar for English websites (US, UK, Australian, NZ…)?
If so, can you point me to where I can find the most current version? -
