@rinn-gill
So this is just me rambling, but I think it might help. First, we assume that people hear us just because we talked/answered their questions. Conversely, we know that isn't true even for ourselves (sometimes I think I don't even hear myself–when I'm talking to me!) So we think that once we've said it, we're done. But then there is…[Read more] -

Please share this: http://www.jillwolcottknits.com/four-free-craftsy-classes/
I am participating in a Craftsy promotion to get new students. Each of the instructors is giving away a class, but all the info is in the blog post above. Promotion through March 13, so if you can slip it into a newsletter, your blog, share on Facebook, etc., I would…[Read more]

I didn't know Vanessa, but i was inspired by her original and awesome business. This is such sad news. I feel so sad for her husband and baby, other family, and friends, and this means all of you dear captains who were her friend.

I just can't believe it – just saw this. It's hard to believe we won't be the lucky recipients of Vanessa's quick and edgy wit. I like Jill's idea and am open to whatever “we” find out is the best way to remember her. What a loss to this world.

What's going well?
Blogging daily Monday to Friday. I missed most of last week but I'm get back on track.What I'm working on?
I hope to release a pattern this week. I'm still working on the afghan samples. I'm almost done the motifs for the second crochet one and 1/3 through the knitting on another. And I need to pre-schedule a bunch of posts…[Read more] -

See, that's what I don't get. People were constantly asking me at TNNA about where stuff was sourced, and they were happy that most of the yarn was from the US and UK. But I didn't get THAT many orders. Madelinetosh is routinely backed up 10 months because she has a bazillion orders, and all her yarn is from Peru and South Africa. People SAY they…[Read more]

I only knew Vanessa through the Starship but I really, really liked her. She was quite hilarious, for one thing. And it was so much fun to watch her biz take off.
I agree that our coordinating something for Henry on his first birthday is a great idea. I am more than happy to provide yarn support to anyone who is knitting for him. From the…[Read more]

I am just so sad to hear this. Vanessa was so welcoming when I joined and I was so thrilled when she announced she was expecting.
I will contribute any way I can when the time is right.
My heart goes out to her family and friends. -

just popping in to offer {hugs} and congrats on looking at those numbers and beginning those difficult conversations!
Wish I was closer to do the electrical (and give you hugs in person). Yay for extension cords! Here's another suggestion, can you add a timer to your dye pots so it auto shuts off every night after say midnight? I don't want you…[Read more]
