Another week has gone by. 🙂
Whatcha workin on?
Today I finished the props for the book fair booth (of my publisher) and send out the package. Apart from that, I did some office work and I might just postpone the rest of that to tomorrow and crochet a bit. What’s going well?
Last week, my publisher called me about a new project. It might not h…[Read more] -

That's so awesome, @karen-whooley! I read it in your newsletter. You are going to be a publisher! I love the name, too. Have you ever worked occhi (the craft technique)?

This is a little mini I did it, but it is going to keep me accountable! 🙂
Today in my newsletter I announced that I am going to start self publishing books. I also announced the name of my Imprint.. Occhi Blu Press. My grandfather used to sing to me a song in Italian calling me Occhi Blu (or Blue Eyes)
I just registered the DBA with the State…[Read more]

Do you think you'll always stick to quarterly and Corrie? If not, it might be good to have an unspecific title and time and yarn as a kind of subtitle. For example:
Happy Surprise Box – Corrie Quarterly
Happy Surprise Box – Mixed Monthly
Happy Surprise Box – Seasonal Colors -

Hi @linda-tieu– NICE! You know what would be cool, if it's not too much trouble? A little “hang tag” or business card size tag that my students could print out to include with gifts of their handmade items- to include something like a little knit related icon at the top, a place to put the knitter's name (handmade for you by_______), maybe also…[Read more]

Hi @karen-whooley– good point, I forgot to mention how many items I need! It's a small group, 8 total. Thanks!

Karen replied to the topic email signature? in the forum Engineering 9 years, 4 months ago
@lesley-austin I use Gmail and have Wise Stamp (https://webapp.wisestamp.com/) set up for my signature. I have had many a company tell me that being able to put my face with my name helps them a lot. It is all text except for the Photo and the social media Links. I have attached a photo of it.

I love this topic! I do experiments – typcially on social media – which start out as more of me thinking “I wonder if I could use Instagram to drive direct sales through my website without having to do a ton of work to the site?” and then I proceed to set a timeframe and start experimenting. I can see the results afterwards, but I really don't…[Read more]

Hi @jill-wolcott– These knitters are beginners-intermediate. They like doing accessories, and I think they'd love any of your easier patterns for fingerless mitts, cowl/scarves or necklaces. If it's easier for you, you could just offer a discount code to use for any of your patterns, and they can pick (or Ravelry gives you the option of which…[Read more]

@lisa-barnes I'd be happy to do something. Can you give me some idea of what type of knitters? What kind of thing they might respond to? I feel like I give stuff but I never know if it makes sense. Thanks!

One of my reps had a great idea, but I need a good name for it. Here's her description:
“What about a once a quarter special offering mixed bag of Corrie Sock – to be different every quarter, of course. Two skeins each of maybe 8 colors ($256). Ones that would look good together and make a nicely balanced palette if that was going to be the…[Read more]
