First off, Tanja's suggestion about adding in a deadline for the trunk show skeins decision is excellent. It sounds like this person needs clear boundaries. So definitely add in the deadline.
Second, I'd take away the reference to the need for advance notice due to child care. I don't think it's any of her business why you need advance…[Read more]

First off, HUG!
I don't really have anything to add that the others haven't already said, but I did want to give you the hug and say that I totally agree with everyone else. I don't see anything that you said/wrote that could be construed as being mean/nasty or calling anyone out.

I released a pattern: It has been available as a kit, but I finally decided I should release it as a stand-alone. It is available on my website, Ravelry, Craftsy, LoveKnitting
I've done three blog posts related to the Lisse Hat design as well:

I'm glad Tanja answered, because my whole response to this would be a little stronger. I wouldn't want to do business with this person–but I understand you need to be very careful.

What an unpleasant situation!
I think your answer is adequate. But you need to add in the deadline for her decision about the trunk show (to allow time for shipping, I need to send out the yarn by x, so please notify my by y so I can pack everything in time).
It seems like she was not aware that you need some weeks of advance notice on the…[Read more] -

Hey everyone – I need someone who is a little bit more objective than me to help me out.
I have a retailer who has been quite a pain in the past (More here: https://taraswiger.com/starship-discussion/topic/customer-service-question-whats-your-take/ ) who originally requested that I come for an in-shop visit in January, and since then has not…[Read more]

So..I'm having a hard time seeing how this is different than Asana?
I mean, Asana doesn't call it “goals”, but it lets you break projects down into tasks, set due dates, have a checklist for a specific day AND it lets you assign stuff to other people! (Even people aren't in your team full-time)
I LOVE ASANA. 🙂 -

GIANT HUGS!
I am so sorry you had to have that conversation. I wish I was there to stick up for you and ask the lady: WTF?! The reason why you hire speakers to begin with is that they come from a very specific, clearly-defined viewpoint. So you WANT people who are a bit incendiary, because they'll actually be interesting! But…you totally…[Read more]

@riin-gill I might be able to help some–but not on setup because the fashion show is earlier this year, and I don't think I have time for teardown either. My classes are before the floor opens on Saturday and Sunday. If you need help during the show–I could do that!

Joeli, all I can add is “is this junior high?” I couldn't take the time to go see what you might have said, but you are allowed to be who you are/want to be and it is really not the right of someone else to try to edit you (unless you are being an unmitigated asshole). I send hugs, but also would seriously question being involved with this.

Yeah, I'm bummed. I use it a lot. My brain is aware that I could (an now have to) piece all the different aspects together…but I don't want to. I have 4 months of scheduling in my calendar alone which I'll have to manually move over to a Google calendar and then figure out how to track my goals. Its just a lot of mental energy spent on tech when…[Read more]
