I'm interested too! I read through the book and then have been going back to do the actual worksheets. It's definitely made me rethink several things.

I'm looking for a “feltable” self striping and/or gradient yarn for a project in my self published book. Are there any indie dyers here who make something like this who would also be interested in providing yarn support? I'd prefer worsted to DK weight for this particular project, but I can make it work with sport or fingering if necessary. If…[Read more]

How do you decide on which patterns to publish? Both first and at all?
Right now I have a small amount of patterns self-published. Every pattern I think of is a potential for publishing as I am trying to build up my design portfolio. I don't really have a niche or market yet. I'm concentrating on ensuring I put out professional quality designs…[Read more] -

I love your spreadsheet, @dana1680079. Maybe I should do a Numbers spreadsheet instead of a running checklist of designs. Hmm…

@tanja-osswald, Evernote can be used online, from a computer, a tablet or a smart phone. That's one of the pluses for me. I can do my work anywhere and usually at least have my phone with me. I do have a partial list that I need to update still. As for the original questions:
Do you have a fixed time frame for new pattern releases (one every…[Read more]

I'm usually just writing one pattern at a time, but I'm also editing/publishing other designers' patterns for Happy Fuzzy Yarn, so I have a spreadsheet. Each row is a pattern. There are columns for pattern name, designer, type of garment, yarn, colorway, item done, pattern done, 1st edit done, photos taken, photos edited, tester contacted, sent to…[Read more]
