@atomicfibers, I just have to ask: Did you really drink half your body weight in water each day? Like, if you weight 60kg, that would be 30 liters of water? I thought you'd die if you drink that much.

What a great idea for a thread.
Moving is what brought me here…meaning, I started taking care of my physical parts first and then moving forward with intention in my business came.
I started very simple just drinking water – enough water (1/2 body weight) daily for several weeks, then I cleaned out my kitchen and change my eating choices for…[Read more]

Tonight, I just wanted to put some photos into patterns – and I realized I had two patterns ready for publication!
It has been quite a while since I published two patterns in a day.
What is extra amazing is that I started writing up the shawl pattern just yesterday, on a whim. It was surprisingly quick to write and my translator worked on it right…[Read more] -

@christie-minchew it is all a journey, right? I try not to get discouraged because I do feel I have a lot of things to say–and last night was talking to someone who is much more extroverted than I and I actually heard her when she said she had really worked to build her following. I am always impatient. So back to building.
Mary mentioned a…[Read more]

@jill-wolcott Ah, thank you…I can really relate to what you are saying about the hardness and the social media. I wasn't positive that I could ever make good money on my art mostly because I'm not willing to do so many things that are required (traveling, teaching in person, galleries that take 50%). So I joined to see if I could figure out…[Read more]

it’s always hard work, whether it feels like it or not
I think there is a really important point. A business (or any job at all) always takes a lot of time and thus a lot of work. But it need not be hard work. Not the kind of work that leaves you exhausted, mentally and physically.
Work that does not feel like dreary “hard work” is good work, b…[Read more] -

Also, Jill– this? “I feel like it is really easy to come here with such great expectations, then to be cratered by the reality of it being mostly really hard, and stuff you didn’t want to do anyway…”
YES. So much yes. It was great when I found Tara's podcasts (even my husband noticed an upswing in my motivation and enthusiasm for business r…[Read more]

@jill-wolcott I need better rain gear, too, though we're starting to pull out of the “all rain all the time” part of the year, slightly. I'm going to have to find ways to not let rain stop me (I hate being wet and cold), or else I'm doomed to begin with! I have a heavy duty long raincoat that I can walk in, but it's a little bulky and the material…[Read more]

I'm new here too, @atomicfibers, so Hi! 🙂
I finished Chart Your Stars last week and it was a great exercise to go through–I had already determined a path and focus for the year but seeing it come up over and over again (without meaning to) as I filled out the worksheets definitely helped solidify everything. My project focus for the year is to…[Read more] -

Welcome Marcia @love2travel16!
I too was in the health care industry for many years (22) and technically still am as I fight the disability boards. I have to many chronic illnesses myself to be able to work there any longer. I've worked as a hca/psw for 14 years, an admitting clerk, a records clerk and finished off as a health records tech. Now…[Read more]

I have been an artist for my whole life – lucky enough to have that fostered at an early age. I have sewn, painted, done work with clay, spun wool, (knitted very little!!), done weaving, scrapbooking and making cards, quilted etc. I have done many classes with all different quilters and have had some art coaching but no formal training of any…[Read more]
