Looks like you're in good hands Kristan. I hope it all goes smoothly…and evaporates soon, and they are never to be seen (or heard from) again!
Just one thing (and I haven't read everyone's comments, so they might have seen this), please know this is EXACTLY the type of thing to “bother” the Starship with. It's totally not a bother, not taking…[Read more] -

@toni-carringer Thanks so much! I sell them retail in my etsy shop but always love for people to let my distributors know that they are in demand.
I do take care of wholesale orders, as well. All patterns wholesale for $6 with a minimum of 5 per pattern. You can email me at cindy@revel-designs.com to order. Here is a more in depth info on the…[Read more]

Ha ha @penny-shima-glanz! I do wait until I see you post–although sometimes it is what reminds me. Apropos of our conversation this morning–they are now sanding the deck above my office. Should be a long day.

Lea-Ann, I can't help with any of the questions except site design. Make notes about what you like about other sites–or in my case, I found it easier to find what I didn't want. Then, for logo and other design, spend some money on a graphic designer–you'll have to live with it for a while and you might as well love it! I worked out a deal on my…[Read more]

@belinda-briggs Yes, do take it. It will allow you to continue moving forward while you sort out the housing so you won't feel like you have to settle. Yay! on the memory bear.

@kristan-macintyre I would guess they're just worried! The tone sounds like someone who has put a lot of time/money into their thing and is having a bit of panic that it won't show the return they want.
I would suggest something like:
I appreciate your concern, but as you can see, the materials and mechanics of our two items are quite different,…[Read more]

@barbara-kish that looks like fun! I love visiting the inner harbor. I do plan to visit a few shops in the area – I lived in MD (about 10 minutes from the Wool & Sheep festival) for 15 years – it's like going home.
We're staying in Columbia, MD and will drive back and forth on Saturday and Sunday to the fest. It's part business trip and part…[Read more]

That's awesome!! I love this pattern and have shown several of my quilting customers.
Is your goal to have customers order it directly through you? I would love to wholesale it in my shop, yet what is the best way for you?

I am printing out our review copy of our taxes right now. Brian has been worried how the “obamacare” insurance might hit our tax numbers. We saved something like $800/ month for ten months, and now we owe back $1,200. Things changed again with his work insurance, requiring us to go back to their plans, so we won't save this much again in 2016.…[Read more]

@kristan-macintyre, what a nasty thing to receive such a mail!
But they do write friendly and my guess is that they just did not really look at your product.
So you could point out the differences you listed above (or just tell them the main one, that your mechanics are different) and ask back in what way exactly they think a problem with their…[Read more] -

@karen-whooley totally agree! I think that things will begin to slow down in the next few weeks. Although I do have a few more podcast/blog reviews/giveaways that haven't gone live yet, so that may carry the momentum for a while longer.

@c-c-almon Wow. Those individual pattern sales are surprising. But then book did just launch. It could be that people are weighing if they should buy the whole book or just the patterns they want. That is amazing that the physical book is selling at such a rate though!
