Oh my goodness! I just submitted designs and inquiries to every fabric company that I am interested in, except for 2. This has been on my to do list for maybe 2 years. Done is better than perfect. Scary. It's so hard to cross these things off because you have no control and nothing to work towards for that goal. EEEk. Just breathe.

Way to focus @jill-wolcott! I could use some of that.

Yesterday I seemed to kill everything I put my mind to. I made all the phone call and sent and followed up on all the the emails I needed to do, I finally figured out how to add a giveaway to newsletter signups, got a blog post up, sent contracts back for Taos, and worked through a bunch of stuff on my desk.

Goal: In three months, I will have a better understanding of the effectiveness of my business activities by reviewing them weekly.
How will I know I have reached this goal? I will have reviewed my business activities each week in Q2. (Metrics used: Is the weekly review complete or not?)

Katie Franceschi started the topic Email Newsletter – Accountability Group? in the forum Goals, Accountability, and Celebrations! 9 years, 1 month ago
Hello Everyone – I need some help. I keep adding write a newsletter to my retail customers once per month to my to-do list and never getting it done. I have no idea why. It's been going on for like 3 quarters.
At this point, I am just acknowledging that I'm having some sort of rebel-esque block about getting this task done and would like to move…[Read more]

Thank you for all the helpful ideas!
So I ended up sending her another email basically restating what I said about not wanting to collaborate and adding that I was not going to use the paragraph. Keep up the enthusiasm, see you later, type of thing.
THEN I got 3 more emails from her. I haven't read them.
I made myself a folder in my email…[Read more]

True confessions – I've only just started on my first cup of coffee and when I scrolled past this thread I read “Your Sensual 2016”. Click bait – I totally clicked through!
I'm off to actually work on my business and hope I don't accidentally write any inappropriate emails to my retailers.

@cindy-willingham Thanks! I like it too! My best friend is a wedding photographer and she literally piled yarn in my arms, and started snapping pictures. She totally gets my weirdness!

@kimberlie-kohler, that is an awkward situation. She seems like a puppy, dancing up and down with enthusiasm. It would be sad to answer her good intentions with a slap in the face. On the other hand, you cannot spend your time entertaining her.
What about waiting three days and then read through all her mail and just answer a couple of…[Read more] -

You know what I hate? When someone is at a wedding or something and uses Instagram as their camera. Really. I don't care about that particular event. If it really irritates me (usually if they are serial offenders) I just quit following them. I figure the same thing happens to me for other reasons, which probably aren't of particular interest to…[Read more]

Thanks, Jill-good point about not using that paragraph now, too!

Jill Wolcott replied to the topic Boundaries with Newsletter Subscribers in the forum Engineering 9 years, 1 month ago
Good response @barbara-kish. If it were me I would just end it. If she decides to unsubscribe to the newsletter, then so be it. However. I would not use her paragraph. If you do you will leave yourself open to whatever she has in store for you.

I'm so relieved to read the, “I'm not so sure about this!!!” posts.
It's so weird to do this as a not-teacher; I'm used to planning, and used to planning forwards and backwards (i.e., I choose concert pieces based on what I want the kids to reinforce and learn in the given time period, and then break that down into how many rehearsals we have…[Read more]

<So I responded really nicely that I loved her enthusiasm and that if she wanted to she should definitely start a blog (she mentioned she always wanted to start a blog) and that I wasn’t interested in collaborating right now>
I think you could pretty much re-state this once more if you feel the need, leaving off the last bit of the original s…[Read more]
