I loved Caitlin's courses. They are what helped me go from 400 Ig followers at end of last year to 2000 now. She really helps you figure out how to get the right followers — and its detailed “do X, y, z” which I appreciated.
I actually have an affiliate link for the course if anyone is interested in buying it.

@karen-robinson I like that way of disengaging. I too found Abby Glassenberg's class quite valuable.

@mary-roth I sooooooooo struggle with creating those lists! I too should be able to come up with lists easily, but as soon as I write it down it seems dull and uninteresting. So I have a Featured Idea and then a Note from me. I kind of come up with them as I go–or earlier in the week at best. I have to come up with blog topics too, but as I look…[Read more]

Hey all, fantastic thoughts floating around, here!
My newsletter is supposed to go out, uh, today, and I haven't gotten content around for it yet or even decided on a topic– I think it's going to have to go out tomorrow, instead.
Right now I'm transitioning from every other week to sending one every week, but alternating between emails…[Read more]

Congrats on reaching your goal!
I was a sporadic blogger. I discovered I really don't enjoy blogging (though I DO enjoy writing my newsletter), so I don't “officially” blog anymore.
What I do instead is still keep the blog active by posting articles that were originally in my newsletter. I started this after I had about 6 months of newsletters…[Read more]

I'm open to any of those option Varian. It would be nice if we could make it where most of us can meet up, so perhaps waiting until August and figuring out a more central place for all of us in the area is best.

Thanks @christie-minchew. I'm going to lines to the AH interview. I always kind of roll my eyes about “new” sleep things, but it can't hurt to listen. And also thank you.

@katie-franceschi I am definitely stopping to talk to my favorite vendor that I get herbs from, but will look at his essential oils!

@dana-gervais I think your analogy of having guests over with no plans is perfect. So how do you want to feed, water, and entertain them? It sounds like blogging is a bit like me doing fancy desserts. Yeah, I can do it, but I just don't enjoy it. So perhaps structure your newsletter to feed, water, and entertain.
Someone else may have a better…[Read more]

Hi There,
I am a knitwear desinger, tech editor and new SS Captain; I came aboard at the end of March. Right now, I am feeling overwhelmed. My Q2 goal was to start an email list. My goal was to sign up 25 subscribers by the end of June. I put it on project status, and have reached my goal already. Now that I have subscribers, I am not sure…[Read more]

I think this is where I would put a success. I published Cold Boiling Cowl last night at http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cold-boiling-cowl
Not as happy with the photos, but it is up before the LA Yarn Crawl. I still need to populate the two projects, but feel like sharing.

@lindsay-brooke Same here. I'm torn between the 16″ set and the 24″ set. Both these sets come with lights.

@elaine-vandiver I agree with Tanja. I'd talk more about what you are offering, not the experience. Do I get to / have to feed the alpacas? Am I staying in your house? What is the room like? What is your schedule like if I'm going to participate? Do I have access to the kitchen? I am lost after I get there, so I would spend a little time making…[Read more]

Whatcha working on?
Moving ahead: projects, planningWhat’s going well / going on?
I am really enjoying the clearing of the fog. I still seem unable to do my all my filing, or get everything put away, but I feel I am making progress.
I have looked ahead and have figured out some things I need to get ahead on to accommodate other things I need t…[Read more]

I love that you have it on the calendar twice @katie-franceschi! Nice bump in sales too. I think the thing that really made a shift for me was that it wasn't “marketing” it was part of my work. It isn't a waste of time!

Ok…so I figure we have a couple of options.
We can meet in May in Asheville…or here in Saluda…with Tara.
We can meet in May in Charlotte without Tara.
We can meet after August with Tara…place TBD.
What cha think?
Oh,…and I have just been reminded I have a conflict on May 14th…so May 21 is looking like the May date.

@angelia-robinson which one are you considering on amazon? I saw several but wasn't sure which direction to go. I really need something with a lighting kit because my schedule doesn't always allow me to take advantage of the best natural light.
