Barbara Kish replied to the topic Weekly Check-in, Q2 2016 in the forum Goals, Accountability, and Celebrations! 9 years ago
What's working: I got out of Dodge on Friday and down to NYC for a couple of nights. It was kind of last-minute (dependent on dog-boarding), but I was able to catch a show, have a couple of great meals, and spend Saturday with a good friend from high school. Now that I know how to navigate Amtrak, and know that cabs take credit/debit cards, the…[Read more]

OK, I think I'm in the headspace to talk about map-making now (a month into the first quarter, right?). It's spring break and I'm off this week. I still feel like I'm floundering. Buckle up, this could get long and a little ranty:
I can make all the lists in the world, think about three awesome things that are going to happen, look back at last…[Read more]

@jill-wolcott Thank you so much for your kind and supportive words! I totally needed this. Your remark reminds me of my favourite quote from Anne of Green Gables, “Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?”

@sasha-torres I did make the switch! In terms of moving my people over that was super easy — you just download a spreadsheet from mailchimp and upload it to convert kit basically.
The hardest thing to get used to is that convert kit emails are basically all plain text. You cannot have the fancy layout that you can in mailchimp. But if you're…[Read more]

@joeli-kelly –are you using Convertkit? I've noticed that @tara has also made the switch and I am considering it as well. How much work will it be to switch over from MailChimp?

Why don't we meet at Lisa Check's booth in the main building? @lisa-check, any chance that you might be able to slip away?

Jill Wolcott replied to the topic Re-releasing old patterns in the forum Engineering 9 years ago
I think that it is a great way to reconnect with past purchasers (through Ravelry and Craftsy it is easy!) and give them a little something new. Just rewording something that may have had questions in the past, or explaining why the new formatting is an improvement, can make the pattern new and exciting (and remind them they have it). You might…[Read more]

I think you'll get the best results doing them individually rather than as a group. I agree with @jill-wolcott that it's time to make a marketing calendar to figure out timelines and how much content you can get from the releases.

Joeli Kelly replied to the topic Knitting or charting software for designs in the forum Engineering 9 years ago
You need to put no stitches in. So it would go no stitch, V, no stitch.
(No charting software will do this any different. The chart row needs to have as many stitches as the row is worked over. If you want to write out the chart instructions or send me your stitchmastery file I can help you more!)
