Thanks Barbara – the legal things were also in my mind – I am thinking I have already established tax ID and sent in sales tax etc – so I am thinking I will keep the legal name and make my personal name more prominent on the website etc

That's one of the reasons I prefer illustrator. It does not output charts to writtens (but I find that those are imperfect anyhow), but I have complete control over what my symbols look like. My kyok symbol is 3 sts wide and I prefer the way the stitch is visually represented.
