Hi everyone, cross me of the tnna meet-up. Budgeting isn't going to allow that trip. 🙁

I like quote posts that are on brand and showcase their wares specifically. I've been experimenting with throwing in a quote every 2-3 Instagram posts. My quotes are yarn/knitting related and layered over photos of my own goods. A couple that have been pretty popular include these.
I made them in Canva, loaded them via Later. I use Iconosquare…[Read more]

I hope it's not too late, I snuck mine in! I didn't see anywhere to link you to pics, so I'm guessing you'll email me if you've got a spot for me and want links.

Thank you @jill-wolcott. She's definitely making it easier on us with her outlook. Thx for the words of advice. I know you have dealt with a lot with your mom, too.

To be honest, if I want to see the mass-canned memes, I'll go to Pinterest. :-/ If they're imaginative and creative, and show a piece of YOU (and not just in your comment), that's cool.

@christie-minchew, I'm so sorry about your mom, but I've got to go with her practicality. I'll hope that everything goes as well as possible, and encourage you to stay in touch. I know how this stuff can take over your life. My best thoughts are with you.

I just thought I would let the Chat group know that I will be more absent than present for the next few months. My mom has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, so I'm all about that for the forseeable future. She's 91 and has a great attitude (“I'm 91. I've had a good life. And I have to die of something.”) – ever practical. So this is not to…[Read more]

Great feedback everyone, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!
@jennie-moraitis your quote posts are marvelous, they're so signature your style that they flow beautifully! Same with yours @amy-crook – your lettering is such a compliment to your illustrations.
@dana-gervais I really like the idea of complimenting a photo with a quote too;…[Read more]

Hi everyone!
What's going well? I reached 696 followers on Twitter! I'm still knitting on a design blanket sample and crocheting on a smaller design sample.
What I'm working on? I'm still in my usual seasons are changing fibro flare so I'm taking things slow. I'm working on blogging consistency and CYM and working on designs. If I can get the…[Read more]

I do handwritten quote posts sometimes, but I know word art and calligraphy are much more of a challenge for some people. I don't know how @jill-wolcott feels about them 😉 but I like the excuse to do quickie word art and play with my brushes & pens, then snap a photo and bang, it's done. I also don't agonize much over my captions, which I…[Read more]

@penny-shima-glanz My office and studio are in the basement. The kitchen, where the all-important tea is, is on the first floor. The bathroom is on the second floor. I go up and down stairs A LOT.
