@tanja-osswald, surfing usually ends up being exhausting!

@Joeli I'd like a course that'd teach me what would be good for me to do and know to make my tech editor's job cheaper/faster/even better.
Everything from thinking about a style sheet, writing my pattern, consistency, best practices and layout.

Thanks, @jill-wolcott! I'll try to, though it is kind of hard to judge whether surfing on the internet and such is relaxing or exhausting…

I have no voice and a cold and took things very slow today – but my first critter of the series for the next book is out now! I called him Ulf. Working on so many similar patterns in parallel extends the time till the first pattern is actually done. I hope I'll get through the others in quick succession now.

It's gorgeous @lindsay-brooke! I want but I'll need to wait until I get paid at the end of the month.

Dana Gervais replied to the topic At what point did you create a Ravelry Forum in the forum Engineering 9 years ago
My group was born from necessity – I needed to conduct a blind test knit and I needed somewhere to host it. I have hosted 3 more test knits since. My group really just hosts test knits. I am active in other groups on Ravelry that are bigger and have thousands of members and I find that I get more traction from those groups than my own.

I think a course for designers would be great. I am a crochet designer and would love a course that taught grading, how to do schematics and stitch diagrams, and some info on pattern layout( columns, margins, which fonts to use for best readability, etc)

You've probably sorted this out now Joeli (and going on a tangent) I think a course JUST for designers would be awesome.

ok. I've se up an extra special private listing for Starshippers on my website. I have a variety of base yarns (all fingering weight) available, but a limited quantity of each. Please let me know if you have any issues with purchase or checkout, this is the first time I've listed items on my site directly.

Amy Crook replied to the topic Charity KAL Prize/Donations in the forum Engineering 9 years ago
@jessica I'm happy to send things straight to you, do you just need one prize pack from me or multiples? If you'd like you can email me amy@antmeortemarts.com with your address and the details. I was thinking maybe a notebook, set of bookmarks, and greeting card that share a theme, if you need just one.

Jessica replied to the topic Charity KAL Prize/Donations in the forum Engineering 9 years ago
@jill-wolcott Perfect! Thanks so much, I will add it to my list and include it in my Prize post.
Thanks again! -
Jill Wolcott replied to the topic Charity KAL Prize/Donations in the forum Engineering 9 years ago
@jessica, how about we use this pattern. That way there is no confusion over value of the prize, etc. Just let me know who gets it (revalry name) so I can gift it to them.

Jessica replied to the topic Charity KAL Prize/Donations in the forum Engineering 9 years ago
@amy-cook, thanks again! Whatever works best for you- if it is easiest to just pop something in the mail to me, that's fine, I can send you my address, or if it's easier, I can send you the winner's information after the KAL ends in July. Thanks again.

@jill-wolcott, thank you so much! And thanks for the pattern offer, you can either email me the details, or I can email you with the winner's contact information (which won't be until after July 4). Thanks again.
