I only have experience working with UK magazines, so I don't think I can be of much help.
I do know that the magazine usually assigns the yarn and over here at least they do that based on commitments to advertisers and then they have a little freedom to choose other yarns they want to promote. For round-ups and stuff I sometimes see calls on…[Read more]

Awesome Jess,
I will do that.
I was looking at the future issues and wasn't sure that my fiber would fit into them. But if you are keeping a larger list, I would definitely love that. Thanks also for the info on what is needed for the spinner and photo shoot, etc.I have a great story about the merino combed top that I currently have and maybe…[Read more]

I found it really helped me to bookmark a few websites that I really loved the style of and then I looked at what similarities there were between them and really studied what it was about each one that I liked…not to copy but to use as a jumping off point. If all the sites you like have a clean white background maybe thats a good place to start.…[Read more]

Thanks Alex! Still working on it all. Had the site evaluated by Peek user testing http://peek.usertesting.com/result/32942649337177?autoplay=true
The reviewer really seemed to dislike my color scheme- I had done the colors to go with my logo. Should I change the background color?
I've also been working on my Etsy shop- fixing my titles, tags…[Read more] -

Hey Joeli! Everyone seems to be talking about content upgrades right now where you share your knowledge in a blog post or periscope and then offer a related pdf such as a checklist, workbook, template ect. I thought it might be good option as you can position yourself as an expert by sharing openly that you know what you're talking about and still…[Read more]

Day 7:
My overall goal in my business is to double my weekly income from what it is now, and to do that by reducing my hourly client work and adding in more higher-paying gigs, like the projects and the consulting and the digital product sales. For the next year, I'd like to increase my weekly earnings by about 40% of what it is now, rather than…[Read more]

Ok so T doesn't have a video up for day 6 yet on YouTube, but I went ahead and worked through the workbook because I don't have a ton of extra time this week.
I'm happy with the last month because I got paid for a special project which bumped me up above my normal weekly rate by about 20%, which is great! I'm bummed that I didn't sell any more…[Read more]

And thank you – that's a great idea about reframing it for my current clients so that they know what they're referring people to/for. 🙂

I had a great month! The only thing that I can attribute to it is that I have been consistent for the last 8 months with stuff and it is starting to pay off.
I have had a mind-blowing 26% increase in newsletter Subscribers this month. I also increased my Patterns sales this month by 10%. But the biggest change? My website page views jumped by…[Read more]
