what are you working on? Focus. Meeting deadlines, making new ones.
what's going well? Being able to reset focus easier if my day goes off-track. I'm still embracing each day being vastly different and unique and establishing as flexible a schedule as I can. I am thankful E stayed home for as much of this roof craziness (and a few other…[Read more]

Anyone interested in a late dinner on Thursday night? I expect to get to my hotel, the Renaissance, at about 8:30 p.m. I can always eat alone, but would love to have company–even if you have already eaten. Let me know here, or you can just call or text my cell, 415.971.3218

I'm in the same situation as @dana-gervais. Our Canadian dollar is too low right now in comparison to the USD that I can't justify $65 for a skein of yarn. I want to but I'm on a fixed income and that's a lot of money. Maybe when the exchange rate is better I can buy it but right now I can't.

Whatcha working on?
I am nearly ready for TNNA. Despite my printer behaving bizarrely yesterday I have printed all my handouts for my classes, packed samples and props, and am pretty much ready for TNNA.What's going well?
I'm nearly ready for TNNA! I managed to pull together a sheet on workshops with pricing for Meet the Teacher. I have little…[Read more] -

@jill-wolcott and @lisa-barnes, @varian-brandon and I will do our best to be Periscope pros 🙂 Agreed, that doing actual chats will probably be best. Perhaps mini interviews?
Looking forward to dinner. I've told Lars the deets and figure we will all see each other at some point before Saturday evening.
Lisa, the meet the designer sounds great!…[Read more]

It's a gorgeous colour! Unfortunately, I am not buying US yarn at the moment because our dollar is so weak against the USD and shipping to Canada is always a huge investment. The glam sock base + shipping is $49USD which would be about $65CAD.
Also, maybe the time of year is affecting sales? Some knitters aren't buying as much yarn or…[Read more]

@lindsay-brooke As hard as this is – you need to give them time. 1 week is a blink to most yarn shop owners. They may want to place an order with you but are:
1.) Too busy with their own shop right now.
2.) Waiting for more yarn to go out their door before they bring yours in.
3.) Too busy to get their displays reset and/or samples worked up in…[Read more] -

How long will your niece stay? I love it when my niece visits; I hope it will be enjoyable for all of you, too.
ahhh she is moving in with us – her room will be what is now my studio – so many decisions that I was trying to make before hand I finally let go and said – when she gets here we will see – I will be “forced” to become a better manager…[Read more]

I have also fallen off the walking – I am missing it and can tell a difference in my mindset from lack of exercise – thanks for the reminder

@marcia buying more pretty supplies is so easy – but my stash keeps growing and I have not enough space in our appartment for it as it is now.
One day, I have to make the hard decision and get rid of yarn that is high quality and lovely but just not the yarn I write patterns with… until then, I just have to crochet faster. ^_^How long will…[Read more]

Whatcha workin on?
Working on my book, still taking things slow. I will have another step photo session this week and then I'll have all the photos for the missing tutorials. Still have no idea how many patterns will fit into the book.
My swap shawl needs 19 more rows (very long ones). What’s going well?
