Yay for taking time off for yourself, @jill-wolcott! Your weeks sounds like crazily jumping around all the time and it is so good you are taking a break!

Whatcha working on?
I am about halfway through packing my studio/office. My goal is to end up with about half the number of boxes the mover said I would have, and I am completely on track for that. What’s going Well?
The Universe stepped back in and I got six new students on Craftsy this week. I am very grateful.Yesterday I spent the a…[Read more]

Hi @dawn-craig – I didn't realize you were a Captain, too. Nice to see you here!

@marcia I totally understand! She runs the classes on a regular basis; so when you're ready you can join up. It's well worth it!

That's a nice metaphor – but I don't see the connection to keeping track of achievements. Your paddling sounds more like experiments would help you – Tara has a podcast on those.
The gist: plan to do a certain marketing thing (and what you suppose your result is), do it, measure the results. -

@katie-franceschi I'm excited to start this! It's good to see you here too 🙂

@tanja-osswald I appreciate the permission to be myself! I think of it as, while I'm learning to paddle my canoe, I'm not going to suddenly start fighting the river or ignoring the flow, just taking a proactive role in steering my course and working with the eddies, ripples and waves of life.
Less metaphorically, I want to be confident in my own…[Read more]

I agree with Amy, write down what you have done and you can go back to it.
On the other hand – why do you want to keep track? If you are a happy drifter, there's nothing wrong with it. After all, your main achievement in life is to lead a happy life, not to tick of “must do” boxes. So, are you unsatisfied with the way your business is right now?…[Read more] -

One thing I remember @tara asking was which days were the most impactful for us. My favourites were 1-3, 5, 7, 12-13, 16.
Working out what I actually have already, and where I want to go were so very, very helpful! Turning that into a set of actions – magic! (So I've already jumped head first into Chart your stars and will go into map making…[Read more]

@amy-crook Thanks.
I can see that part of my difficulty is that I struggle to identify what counts as an accomplishment. So many things seem like just small tiny movements, nothing worth writing down! I can see that the map making or something similar will be useful to help me see the main objectives and goals I am working towards and to be…[Read more]

@barbara-kish, if it helps your business, you can make a new map every week! These tools are for your benefit, not the other way around. Besides, it is regular map making time right now, so we can all do new maps together.

That's quite warm and charming! You can easily make a version in black and white for print uses just by taking the color out of the drawing and thickening up the lines a little, and use this one wherever you're going with full color.

@james-bartley So lovely to see you here! I've fixed my profile just for you. 🙂
I just want to reiterate about this being a completely safe place to be your fully messy self. You'll often see posts from me absolutely freaking out about pricing or an SOS because I have no clue what I'm doing. Like literally this is the only place where I feel…[Read more]

OK so I have sorted this out in case anyone else has a drama.
So with the recent paypal changes, my IPNs (Instant Payment Notifications) suddenly became a problem which messed with Ravelry orders. But generally blog shop orders were not affected (2 exceptions)
What I had to do to fix it was add a specially formatted url to the IPN settings in my…[Read more]
