@shelley-husband This isn't an instant fix to COGS questions, but if you track it year to year for your taxes, you can make larger picture generalizations about your practical profit margin and overall cost of doing business. This is helpful to me because my costs per skein of yarn vary. They have different profit margins because my supply costs…[Read more]

I've started on Pay Yourself and waiting for the next lesson to arrive so I thought I'd mark my spot in this discussion and note my progress. (I know I could get the video from the work book, but I'm making myself do it email pace so I don't rush through and have time to absorb it all)
I'm about to do the hard one – Lesson 2 Video 1 Profit…[Read more]

@susan-heyn there is a restaurant on site, but I thought some of us might like to get out…

Laurinda, I have a break between classes from 12-2 on Thursday if that works for you.

That's totally cool – I'd want to know 🙂 I'll have to investigate how to do that myself – I still have a lot to learn with MC 🙂

Thanks, Shelley! I forgot that I had used a specific URL there instead of the MailChimp one and I changed that website recently, so that would be why the page wasn't found. It should go to an actual confirmation page now. (The good news is that you are listed as a subscriber so at least it didn't affect the actual subscription! Whew!)

@karen-robinson – I noticed something went a bit awry when I signed up – I got a page not found message when I confirmed subscription. Thought you should know 🙂 (I tried to upload an image -screenshot of error page but must've done something wrong)

I do a monthly newsletter that follows a template I came up with one day with no real research or much thought – I do it, but not sure it's worthwhile – I certainly don't see a sales spike so it will be great to see how you all use newsletters 🙂
My sign up link is here. I have a group you can opt in on as well as the monthly newsletter -…[Read more]

I too thought we clicked and am anxious to work with you @james-bartley!
This is where we got the Rebel/Obliger/Questioner/Upholder language. It was our book club book, although I'd read it already. It was hugely helpful to me as I was able to identify that the best way to deal with a lot of stuff I need to do was to make it a habit so I didn't…[Read more]

Whatcha workin on?
I just finished my CYS and I was working on Wrangle Your Time… I stopped WYT because I realized I was jumping ahead… I tend to do that. I don't think I'm going to work on it anymore until I finish Map Making. And it's perfect timing since everyone will be working on it soon.
What’s going well?
I got my website done e…[Read more]

I thought we clicked well, @jill-wolcott!
I am not familiar with the Rebel/Obliger/Questioner terminology – I pulled it from chat. Where is it from?
I've studied Transactional Analysis (TA) theory, so my language is that of Adapted Child & Rebellious Child. I'd see these as being equivalent to Obliger & Rebel.
I see the rebel as being a…[Read more]

I did it! I completed it! I started off look at a full year but only planned for this calendar year. I want to complete it again in Jan with everyone so I'll move some of the stuff forward then and it will be good for me to see how far I've come. I tend to lose that a lot of times and need the reminder.
I'm excited about the things I have…[Read more]

Working on: Getting settled back in after a show (which went well). I'm ready for map making and setting up next quarter's goal. But first, we have a vacation to Boston; my husband is up there right now on a business trip and my son and I are flying up tomorrow to join him. We'll be there until Tuesday. Once we get back, I have lots of things I…[Read more]

You can add me to the list James. I am a rebel, but have obliger tendencies (working to break as I think they are more habitual than tendency), and am also a questioner. Makes it interesting.
I can speak to almost any of these topics. I am an insomniac who sleeps on a regular schedule. I live with a lawyer and have operated on his schedule…[Read more]
