Mercy, it took me forever to find this link again. Of course that doesn't mean I haven't done any newsletter stuff later, of course not…

Barbara Kish replied to the topic Income Goal? in the forum Engineering 8 years, 10 months ago
@james-bartley, yes, and everyone has great suggestions. I'm very good at chasing my own tail when I get going, and not so good at asking for help.
This isn't my first year in “business,” but probably the first year I've REALLY paid attention to what the what is, and REALLY thought about it in terms of having a goal (my personal definition of…[Read more]

Barbara Kish replied to the topic Inventory Management HALP HALP HALP in the forum Engineering 8 years, 10 months ago
Thanks, everyone, for your input. I've been “managing” my inventory the last few days (and next few more to come) by adding to it! @dawn-craig, Big Cartel has an app that I think would do the same for me if I check everyone who uses a card to pay through there. I really should look into it more carefully.
@karen-robinson, what you're doing sounds…[Read more]

@julianna-puccini Hi Julianna! I didn't know you were a captain, too! Finding the right tool to collect my achievements has been key – I find daily to-do lists a big no no, though I'm starting to be able to do a little bit of scheduling across the week. It seems that if I try to write a daily to do, I end up trying to everything in one day and…[Read more]

This morning in the chat, I talked about my idea to make this an a-pattern-a-day week. Not sure whether it will actually be one, but here's at least the pattern for Monday: Gisela
It is a very cute and cuddly cat, crocheted with slip stitches in colored spirals. -

Thanks, @kimberley-bridgwater! The last four times, I had to re-learn how to submit each time; that more than doubled the time…

@shelley-husband that's kind of how my lists are too… I have 3 main mile markers that happen each of month 3 months and then 3 supplementary mile makers and happen every week. I'm making an index card for each mile marker and listing my to do on there. I need to work on the actual order next by look at just one month at a time.
I'm going to…[Read more]

Dawn Craig replied to the topic SM Planner in the forum Engineering 8 years, 10 months ago
If I was going to drop one SM it would be Twitter… FB, Pintrest, and IG are the ones that I get the most out of. Of course I could do Twitter and FB through IG, so even one that just does IG and Pintrest would be great, I'm just not find one.

@james-bartley that is great feedback. Thanks so much and apologies for the late reply. I read it on my phone, which was the only internet connection I had this weekend while packing up my office/studio.
Thanks again.

I'm a big fan of CoSchedule for my blog. There isn't really anything that does everything. Tailwind does Pinterest, and is adding Instagram. It helps to know what you are wanting to schedule.
I hate hootsuite, but others love it.

tara replied to the topic Help me with my bio in the forum Engineering 8 years, 10 months ago
First of all: CONGRATS on having your pattern published?
So this is a bio that will go in KnitPicks, along with your pattern?
This is perfectly fine as a Ravelry bio, but you'll want to change it based on the audience. the KP audience won't know you, or anything about you, so I'd put the most important stuff up front (I like James' suggestion…[Read more] -

Hey S! You got some great feedback from everyone already, I've been nodding along as I was reading. I just wanted to clarify…What is your question? How can we help?
You mentioned Defeat Overwhelm, that's a webinar (a YouTube video now) that you are welcome to watch! It's not an entire class, it actually just lays out the curriculum of Lift Off…[Read more] -

This is such a good topic!
So you can obv look at any of my pages to see examples of testimonials, and as for how to prioritize them and display them…it's kind of hard to say without specific situations.
But I can share some general guidelines I keep in mind:
–The most powerful testimonials are going to say, in effect, “I'm like you. I had…[Read more] -
