How about tips for approaching others to talk about your work on their blog or social media accounts – getting help to spread the word on something new.
I suppose to be included would be handling the possible rejection of reaching out as well as being thankful when they say yes without gushing.

Super proud of my Dami (my 16 year old daughter) who released her first knitting pattern today. The pattern is euglassia watsonia socks inspired by the tv show Elementary.

I would edit what you show. Is it the image your customers want to have? People buy aspirations. Just my opinion.

So my studio is in my unfinished basement. I only have drywall up on one wall and it's a half wall. So there's exposed studs, and those plastic sheets that go over insulation, there's no ceiling so you can see the floor joints from upstairs and the plumbing and all that run there. I was planning on doing a tour of my studio as a blog post……[Read more]

Well, a power outage of 6.5 hours interrupted chat today so here's my check in.
What's going well? Knitting! I'm knitting a shawl for learning and a sample shawlette for a design. I'm also working on sampler packs of my spa cloths as hostess gifts for a trip I may be taking in August.
What I'm working on? Month of Biz Love and Mapmaking still.…[Read more]

@tara, on the Right People theme. What platforms to use, how to know if you are connecting.
On my favorite: How do you make a clear ask.

Whatcha working on?
Finishing up last minute edits for my new book. Not for the book itself, since that's already printed, but there are a few things I'm updating/adding to the packages. Also going back and forth between Ingram Spark and Amazon to resolve why my book is showing up as “Out of Stock”—argh, bad timing. Thankfully, other retailers a…[Read more] -

Something I struggle with is dealing with the uncertainty of s steady income.
I find it difficult to cope with not knowing how much income Is coming in from day to day. A $0 day can be followed by a $1000 day. It's not just about cash flow, but the emotional part. (I'm an LYS)
Also how best to physically plan, how to use a diary and journal…[Read more]

I'm loving this ideas!
re: Right People – I worry that this will overlap a bit too much with what's in the Craft your Marketing. If there's something with MORE detail that CYM doesn't have, I'd rather add it to the class than the podcast, I think.
But then I looked, b/c I thought I had some podcast episodes already, but realized they were all…[Read more] -

You could really do a whole series on Right People, how to define them when you don't know, and how to keep refining the definition as your business grows and changes, and then how to find them once you've got an idea of who they are.
