I think the only way yarn could bleed color while being knit is if the knitter is in the pool while knitting. Maybe you'll have to add, “swimming while knitting is not advised” to your label. 😉

I'm feeling a lot better about this situation. Thanks, everyone, for your comments. They helped me work through my immediate reaction and emotions. I'll be keeping an eye on my mail to see if I actually get this package. But other than that, I'm putting it aside for now.

@karen-whooley I use word to create my ebooks both for Smashwords and Amazon. I am yet to have my ebooks formatted by anyone else – all done by me so far, but I will be down the track – hopefully my next big one as I want to do a print version as well and my skills are pretty basic.
