My last reply seems to have been lost, so once more…
@riin-gill, I'm experiencing a lot of tingling (and numbness) currently, due to lack of calcium.
If the tingling starts at your mouth and nose, you should see a doctor.
For now, you could just try having a glass of milk, maybe with a cookie or two? -

@nessa-jay, Thanks for sharing. I keep thinking, well damn and you're planning to move across the ocean!? You have certainly made huge strides.
The should tend to get really huge in our heads, and while they may exist elsewhere, we make them bigger. As Tara would say, you are right where you should be. I'm glad you can go someplace besides…[Read more]

Since I first read this post I haven't stopped thinking about it. I've started writing a reply a hand full of times but I keep self editing/self censoring. After our group chat today I've decided to sit down and just write my reply without going back to edit anything (or else I won't post this at all) so apologies if it gets rambly or…[Read more]

@tara, I'm with you on wanting to smack people who say things like, “oh that triggers my OCD!” or as you said, the bipolar cracks (among other things). I mean, seriously? Your office-mate's disorganized desk bugging you isn't OCD, you ignoramus. Stop making light of it and maybe, just maybe, educate yourself.
I feel very fortunate that I've…[Read more]

Also, this post is tagged “pitchforks”! I love that! I wonder how many other posts through the years will be tagged that!

As a Christian and a life-long church goer (it was mandatory three times/week until I left home at 18…and then I went to a Christian college) – Church of Yarn isn't at ALL offensive. I don't even think my crazy-conservative mom would be offended and she's offended by everything. (“I just can't call it yarn PORN, Tara, I just can't even joke about that!”)

I LOVED Stranger Things! So good!
I've been catching up on Grey's Anatomy (I haven't watched it since college, so I started again at the beginning) and I gotta say, it's the perfect thing to cry along to! When I was dealing with the medically-induced depression last month, Grey's was just the perfect mopey companion – you really don't have to…[Read more]

I just wanted to thank everyone for sharing their landing ages. I have mine up and running now and your input helped me decide what I wanted mine to be. It's here if you'd like to see.

@jill-wolcott “There is work/life balance?”
Well, it's a thing I've heard about that sounded cool. I've never actually seen it. It might be like a unicorn or a clean house.

Whatcha working on?
All the dyeing is done, and I need to reskein. That'll be tomorrow while Wallace is at puppy camp. I meant to start it on Monday (his other day), but once I got home from dropping him off…blergh. I went back to bed. Two hours later, I decided I just needed a day off. I haven't had a day of nothing pretty much all summer. So…[Read more] -

@jill-wolcott “I forget that even I can’t make myself do things until I’m ready.” Yes! This! I think that's why I have procrastinated some things for years, and then one day I just did the thing and it was no big deal. I was finally ready!

@riin-gill, I don't know. I always tell myself things mean nothing, but if after 24 hours it should probably be looked at.
There is work/life balance?
Have some fun with the new project, but maybe a day with your feet up? It is a long weekend.

Whatcha workin on?
Right now I'm really tired and out of sorts. It's hard for me to concentrate, so I keep starting things and not finishing them. I'm hoping that I actually finish something today.
I bought the domain name for my handspun yarn store, awesomeyarn.com, and I'm working on putting that together for 1-2 hours a day. Obviously I…[Read more]

What's going well?
I found a designer and we're getting started working on getting my brand identity and product packaging in order. Thanks to the work I've done with the marketing course it was really easy to communicate to her what my clients want/need from me and what I want my brand to represent. We clicked immediately and I think I'll have my…[Read more] - Load More
