You got lots of good experiences here already!
I always respond to this question with questions:
Do you already have an audience? How are people going to find your shop?
Although Etsy is in no way going to be responsible for sending you a lot of traffic, it does put your fiber in the pool of results when people search (where it can take you…[Read more] -

I sell my jewelry through my own website (a Shopify store), Amazon Handmade and Regular, and nominally Etsy. Jewelry (mostly repeatable designs, $35+) may not translate to the yarn and fibre world, but this is my experience:
Etsy: I made a big push and effort on Etsy 2 years ago, for about 9 months, and only ever made 2-3 sales per month. Now I…[Read more]

@karen-lepage it is so easy to review other peoples' work! Let me/us know if we can help. I'm not likely to be on chat today.

Thanks @jill-wolcott – Those ARE cues to me, and I need to modify them. I appreciate your eagle-eye and I have made those changes.
The other presentation is proving to be far more difficult to put together, even though I know the subject matter like the back of my hand!

what's going well & what are you working on? combining these again this week —
I made a few minor adjustments to my systems. I'm thankful they're resilient this week as it's super chaotic for a variety of reasons, some expected others not.
I'd love extra hours to sleep (I've been getting about 7.5 hours, my body wants more this week) but it's…[Read more]

@karen-lepage, These are great. If I am in your audience, here's where my mind goes on this slide:
#3 Skills Inventory: [handout] – what? If you mean give handout, say that. Same with Examples. Both those things seem like cues to you and I'm wondering what they have to do with me and why they are there. So instead of examples maybe say…[Read more]

Dana Gervais replied to the topic Customer and Order Management in the forum Engineering 8 years, 11 months ago
If you can't find a free software that does this for free, you could use excel spreadsheets to manage this data. A spreadsheet for potential clients, a spreadsheet for each current client, and a spreadsheet of historical order information. You can extrapolate information from the spreadsheets if you are looking for trends.

Hey all! I'm looking for one app that will help me track and manage:
1) potential wholesale customers
2) current wholesale customers and their order history
3) orders – past and present so I can see sales history as well as what's in the “pipleline”.Any ideas? It needs to be free/cheap = 🙂
Thank you!

Welcome @sarah1333355, @sara1130893, and @jennie1408248!
@jennie1408248, my heart goes out to you. Many of us are in that parent trap. I finally got out of mine by moving away. Drastic, but definitely I am feeling like it was good for me. I, however, have siblings.
About three years ago I broke down in tears on the way to pick up my mother for…[Read more]
