@sarah1213424 I keep everything in OneDrive. If anything ever happens to the cloud I'm screwed because that's where all business, personal and household information is backed up. It's so convenient to have everything on my phone, ipad, computer – whatever device I have near me has everything I need. Even paper (like receipts) are captured and…[Read more]

I need a whole page for each day but I don't need my planner to be carried around – so I just have a Din A5 notepad next to my computer, where I rip off a page a day (and fill in dates and to dos a couple of days in advance).

I am a Passion Planner advocate, just because I am a paper girl. I have the larger format and it works well for me to have out all the time on my desk.
@dana-gervais I have played around with OneNote and other digital planners and I always get flashbacks to the time I lost everything when my computer died. Yes, things have changed since the…[Read more]

@riin-gill, I like the idea of seasonally available colors–that way you could continue to have all your colors, but not have to juggle them all the time (requiring fewer arms!).
As always, Tanja has a great point: what is your unique selling point? Also, what drives you forward?
I read the article last night, and have printed it out for further…[Read more]

@nessa-jay, Whoo hoo! Congratulations on pushing through the roller coaster–or I guess riding it to the end. I find a lot of it is just keeping it together, then acknowledging how hard it was, but that Yay! you did it.
I signed up for the State of Making, but won't attend today since I have no interest in Etsy and little time, so I have to pick…[Read more]

Whatcha workin on?
I've been dividing my time this week between getting orders out and putting the last touches on The State of Making Summit. Also, finally signed the contract with the designer this past week and submitted the first payment. The night before I totally freaked out about it though, like, all the confidence I had about it was gone…[Read more] -

I make my own inserts for everything. My inserts are based on Passion Planner, but customized for my life. I was tired of constantly searching for the elusive, perfect planner that didn't seem to exist for me. This past summer I've experimented with using OneNote instead of my Filofax (I am a Filofax collector), and I'm surprised how well…[Read more]

Here are some links to the planners I mentioned in case anyone is interested:

Oh yeah, I can see where having something where you can add pages would be really nice. In high school I used one of those mini sized binders with inserts and I liked that a lot. I'm glad you've found a system that works so well for you, @ann-tudor!

I'm glad to hear another endorsement for it @karen-robinson! I haven't started using it yet so for all I know it will be perfect, but I have the printable Volt option as a backup. 🙂

Thanks for the link!
Last weekend, I was at Wollmeise in Pfaffenhofen. She has a total of five bases (she started out with less) and a bazillion colors (something around 300?). There are never all colors available. She has a shop that opens on Fridays and Saturdays only and she started just last year to sell wholesale (there is one store in the…[Read more]

I personally love all the fun planners but they get me too distracted – oohh bright and shiny!
I started last year using the Arc system from Staples. It is a customizable binder system. I started with the small 5×8-ish size with a full month calendar, dividers with to- do list, projects, etc. I have since moved everything to a large full…[Read more]

I was going to suggest the Passion Planner since that seemed to fit most of your listed needs, but I see that you've tried that. I, too, am on the hunt for the “perfect” planner. The Passion Planner seems closest so far but still not quite there. So I'm sorry to not have any other suggestions, but I'm eager to hear what others might suggest!

Riin,
I've still not read the article, so I may be talking out my ass, but I think you have too many colors. 153 by my count (of yarn). I see why you have so many, because they are all wonderful, but I think it is overwhelming. It must be overwhelming to keep track of. Then you have them in all the bases! You are amazing that you can do that. I…[Read more] - Load More
