I'd be interested in offering a pattern ,but don't know if you would be interested in crochet patterns or not. Take a look at my Ravelry shop and let me know if you would be interested in offering any of my patterns- http://www.ravelry.com/designers/susan-heyn

@jill-maldonado I don't know anything about teaching kids, except that it has to be fairly quick gratification. Casting on is hard for them. I'm sure the right person could figure it out for you. Good luck. That is a horrible turn around.

But they need to have a restricted menu to order from. Like vegan.

Yes, chocolate is probably needed. I think you could do such a quick and easy “talking point” about each color.

Hey all! I'm looking for someone who might want to help me with a new product I'm developing.
I want to develop a new product for my business which is all about making “tools for the imagination” for creative kids using reclaimed textiles. I currently have a blanket fort kit (pictured here) and want to make a “knitting kit” that would be…[Read more]

Hmm. So I need to figure out how to convince them that HFY is mention-worthy. I think it goes back to making HFY as well known as the other brands I've been talking about, the brands that people look for when they go in a shop.
Sigh. I want chocolate.

But we already do dye to order. Aside from our trunk shows and the cash and carry that a few of our reps do and some cash and carry at TNNA, ALL of the wholesale is dyed to order.

Thanks for your suggestions! I'm in the process of trying out the app, 17 hats. So far, I like it, but I'll report back when I've used it longer.

@riin-gill I think it is often a matter of it not being top of mind, or top of sales. The yarn shops forget that it is part of their brief to help introduce, and it is easier to put up what everyone is already buying.

I love what you bolded @riin-gill. If I were advising you, and didn't know that it is so much work, I would say you need to tell the world that. That every color way is because of an idea–and maybe what that is: I made hydrangea because I looked in my garden and all I could think of was hats and shawls in those colors.
I totally get the super…[Read more]

Hi CC,
I emailed you earlier but you've answered my question here. I could definitely do 30 of something if you'd like? (Or 29, as I'd be there!)

@jill-wolcott I think you may be right about too many colors. It's gotten to the point that I'm not even sure how many we have anymore, and I have a hard time telling some of them apart. And I know decision fatigue is a real thing. If I go to the store and they don't have the kind of toothpaste I normally get, I stare at all the possibilities and…[Read more]

@tanja-osswald Ah, yes, Wollmeise is one of those “holy grail” yarns here.

You have it! Just whatever feels good. I go through and ask questions that fit with your answers. So you could talk about how you got into spinning. What makes spinning / yarn dyeing speak to you? What's your thing? It doesn't have to be related to your business. You tell me, then I'll make you sound like a freaking genius!

I think I remember reading your questions before and thinking I had no idea how to answer some of them. But maybe I could give it a shot. Put me down for February?

@lea-ann-mcgregor Ouch! You don't happen to remember which ones you looked at, do you? I know some of them haven't ordered in quite a while so they may not have any HFY left, but if they do, and they don't think it's worthy of mention like their other stuff…oh, that makes me sad. 🙁

I like the planners I can print out from Productive Flourishing. It's $12 for the year's PDFs, though they publish them for free on a month-by-month basis. May not suit the OP, but someone might be interested.

I am reviving this so I can get newer Captains on my list. I'm looking for someone for December, then on to 2017.
To participate:
1. You agree to do it–and I'm very happy to connect it to a product launch or other event in your business–and I put you on the calendar.
2. I'll send you the questionnaire at the time I put you on my list.
3. I…[Read more] -
