@varian-brandon the Director of Nursing asked me if she had hobbies. I gave one of them as “other people”. Seriously, nothing bothers her more than that she can't go to the dining room for breakfast. I would prefer breakfast alone!

Whatcha working on?
I’m working on what I can get done in the next quarter, plus October. I was in Seattle for a couple of days, and I drug a pile of paper with me, which I got sorted out and hopefully I am going to be able to attack my projects in a more systematic way. What’s going Well?
I began to get back on track with my drawing. I will hav…[Read more] -

Jill, I think our moms must have come from the same extrovert/obliger pool. (from rebel/introvert me) 😉
LeeAnn, so glad you have had an eyeopening/revelation. The whole tendency thing is really fascinating…and in most cases rings so true.

@katie-franceschi I am curious, HOw do you like Wave Accounting. I have had issues in the past with it not being able to connect to my bank but I keep going back to it as a good free option that is “portable”.

Yay Lea-Ann for figuring that out. I'm just back from visiting my mom, who is an extrovert/obliger, and I keep having to think of what things would be like from her perspective–and it is totally opposite of mine as a rebel/introvert.

what's going well & what are you working on? I like combining these right now.
Not feeling overwhelmed or upset that I didn't meet all my Q3 goals. I made progress and that's important. I'm working on making Q4 more realistic based on what I've hopefully learned this quarter. October is a crazy month with all the jewish holidays, spinzilla, and…[Read more]

I agree with @lea-ann-mcgregor that @tara ‘s course, “Pay Yourself First” is a great way to get financial perspective on your business and ‘Wrangle Your Time' is a great course for looking at your time management.
I have been in a similar situation where one income stream of my business was far more profitable than the other streams. My…[Read more]

Pinatas is your main income? Have your done Tara's profitability course? I first set my annual income goal, then broke it down by quarterly, monthly, then choose the projects that would get me that net annual income. But how to squeeze them all into your workday then becomes a time management issue. Kristen ay smallbizlife.com did a podcast on…[Read more]

Yes for break throughs! I found out from that episode I'm an obliger …. Oh my gosh. And here I am trying to work solo with no input that I'm headed in the right direction, for two years! #mindblowing … I started a Facebook cheerleading group for myself.

So last week in the chat I had kind of a break-through moment when I realized at least a huge part of the reason I keep starting off great with something and then slacking off is that I expect myself to do this. I'm expecting myself to mess up so I do.
It's made me want to dig into why… why am I doing this and it's made me want to refocus…[Read more]
