Yay for birthday parties, @kimberley-bridgwater! They can be exhausting but usually, they are worth it.
And another yay for your upcoming shopopening. I'm looking forward to see it! -

@linda-tieu, this list is kind of ridiculous and totally makes sense. I just realized today that it is Breast Cancer Month. I wonder if I have a project that works for BC, Men's fiction, politics & activism, and fall travel?
Maybe a big bulky pink scarf and a headband to cover your ears?

@tanja-osswald I have no idea! Way beyond my level of expertise. Which browser do you use? I'll pass it on to Penny who might be able to help.

Hi! Yesterday was Mum's 66th birthday and I was busy baking her cake and cooking for our family birthday dinner. So even though I hoped to make at least one chat I missed both! But the dinner was great and after the nine that don't live in the house left Mum and I were both exhausted.
What's going well? Whatcha working on? Crocheting and…[Read more]

Linda, I love how you set up your page. I definitely would add more goals! Dream a little: What would you do if money was no issue? What about selling a printed version of your coloring book? What about quitting your side job?
And can you check your reward list and make it perfectly clear each time whether you get reward snail-mailed or as a…[Read more] -

@jill-wolcott, when I click the “subscribe” button on your website, nothing happens. It might be my browser – can you tell what I have to allow on the page to make it work? I tried it yesterday and clicked about everything and it did not, so I'm puzzled.

Jill Wolcott replied to the topic Selling Yarn Kits Through Shops in the forum Engineering 9 years ago
@lea-ann-mcgregor it would be a small quantity (I believe), for a very limited time. It might even be that except as the shop might wish to participate, they would have all the orders before the yarn arrived. I would take care of promotion–this isn't something I'm trying to sell to the yarn shop, I just want to sell yarn that they carry instead…[Read more]

Q of the cuff: returns, volume expected, ongoing or limited time, prepared kits (storage space) or assembly required, shipping supplies, employee time and cost, shipping label information and payment.
If the lys advertised, prepared and shipped a kit, the markup is normally double the supplies cost plus extra for employee cost of handling…[Read more]

Congrats!
I agree with the others above!Do you send out samples of your base yarns to your wholesalers? Could this be why she's ordering a bit of this, a bit of that?
Good luck,

I kind of do this by the seat of my pants, but on every goal I have I make a notation about marketing plans–making one, executing it, etc. But really, I have no idea.
Questions:
1. Without doing stuff that will just make me hide in a corner (i.e., analyzing data!) what are things that I could do to market KALs (knit-a-longs) and online…[Read more] -

So I've been working on some KALs for 2017. But the thought of setting up my business to do retail and wholesale just makes me want to crawl into a corner. I know it might not be that hard, but it isn't how I want to spend my time. Plus, shipping.
So I would like some feedback, particularly from those of you with shops @lea-ann-mcgregor and…[Read more]

Checking in here because I have to work this afternoon and can't be in chat.
What's going well? Got through a spell of family sickness without having to take time off. Low-key marketing is working well and have just the right amount of work coming in for now. Feeling a great sense of relief now that my map is before me for the quarter, even if…[Read more]
