@dawn-craig that sounds good to me! I actually really like the idea of setting yourself apart by carrying bases people can't get just anywhere – I think there's a market for that. A lot of knitters would be interested in trying different fibers and blends but a lot of indie dyers only carry the basic merino and merino blends. Good luck with your…[Read more]

I'm totally a “swallow the frog first” kind of a gal. Even with stuff like housework on the weekends – I tell myself to power through the household chores first and then I can spend the whole rest of the day doing fun stuff. My husband likes to work for a little while and then take a break, or to take a break and then work, which drives me nuts…[Read more]

Today, the (inter)national novel writing month has started. I've known about it for a couple of years and have always been faszinated by the concept of writing a novel in a month. So, this year, I've joined it.
Are any of you on board, too? Shall we be writing buddies?
My name on the website is LiliTupili, like my Ravelry name. -

Thanks, Jill. I did have a sale to Hungary yesterday, so even EU-people might still buy my patterns…

I love a blank 6 week grid for planning all sorts of things. It's enough to plan more than a month, but not too big to be overwhelming and 6 weeks is a good amount of time to break a task down into. I'm into function more than decoration, but a twirl of yarn with a crochet hook around the edge would be v cool. Bonus points if the yarn is blue 😉

For knitters and crocheters cards that say “Hand knit for you by” or “Hand crocheted for you by” are always popular

I would love some thank you cards with either a knit theme and/or my logo on them for when I send gifts to test knitters/sample knitters or send out prizes. However, I would pay extra if you printed them for me, provided envelopes and mailed them to me 🙂

Personally, I rarely use printables but I would buy things like notebooks, project bags, and postcards with your designs on them, especially if they are crochet or sheep-themed. Or with dragons.
Depending no the price, sheep-themend gifts would be lovely, too. I love swap packages and a yarny postcard is great for those, plus small gift stuff,…[Read more] -

Thank you @tanja-osswald. I am revamping the phrasing. I let it sit for a day and am looking at it again and totally agree with you. I think it is easier for me to say no when I make it sounds so businessy, but that is not me so I am going to politely thank them and tell them I am not offering wholesale to online only businesses. I…[Read more]

Sounds sweet enough for me. 🙂
One small thing: Maybe it is just me, but passive sounds overly formal in English. Could you start with “I appreciate your interest”? Or “thank you for asking”? -
Ann Tudor replied to the topic Question about Wholesale Request from Etsy Seller in the forum Engineering 8 years, 7 months ago
That was my thought as well @dawn-craig.
@tanja-osswald I just received another request this morning so I want to have a standard response/policy all worked out.
How does this response sound?
Hello,

I am like @amy-crook and @dawn-craig, not a morning person in the least bit. If I try to do work too early, I make mistakes and have to re-do the tasks. So creative or mindless tasks first. But that can backfire, like this week I got into a project and kept saying to myself, “Fifteen more minutes!” and then got none of the work done that I needed…[Read more]

I totally agree, it's very different selling to someone that's going to carry your markers in a store or at shows and someone that's just going to carry them online.

So I've been thinking a lot about this and at first my response to why I'm adding them would have been because I want them in my shop…. not a good reason really. More thought and I realized I want them because I want to carry bases that people can't get just anywhere… I also want to carry the regular ones but maybe I should scale them back.…[Read more]

I'm like Amy… first thing, if it's actually in the morning needs to be mindless stuff like rinsing yarn and such. I just am NOT a morning person at all and trying to do things that use a brain in any way just doesn't work and only leads to frustration.
But thank you for this… I'm actually going to use this idea to schedule my time for next…[Read more]
