After I heard about Birgit Freyer's shawl subscription, I've been mulling over starting a subscription of my own. It will be for fingerless glove patterns, since those are my favorite patterns to write.
What do you think about the following announcement? I need feedback on content and on the language – I'm not a native speaker, so sometimes my…[Read more] -

For a kit, you will probably directly cooperate with the designer, so she can give you coupon codes.
If you want to sell the pattern via in-store-sale, you could print it.
Maybe just invest a couple of dollars and test what you get in an in-store-sale? Maybe there is a coupon option? -

But what if I'm not the designer, I've been all over ravelry looking for answers. I'm probably not asking it properly. I do have an LYS account, but my understanding is they need to be standing in front of you in the store to order using that method.

When I sell pdf downloads as part of a kit or as part of a subscription box, a download code is included in the physical shipment. You can generate batches of single use coupon codes from the Ravelry promotions page.

I like the hybrid idea… I've actually been thinking about getting copy help for my yarn and knowing that you can do about x number of listings for this price would help me to budget it.

I prefer a package deal – I don't care how many hours it takes you, if it's worth the money to me then it's worth the money even if it takes you one hour and I'm paying for three.

Whatcha Working On?
I have been clearing out more stuff from my studio. Liberating and daunting, but I have nearly gone through all my stuff again and have now culled enough to fit into my space. Plus all the usual stuff I do every week. What's Going Well?
This clearing was really an effort to get space to focus more. I went to my fiber-artists…[Read more] -

Going well? I got the most recent shipment of my yarn club out in the mail yesterday. A few people (local) have already received it today and seem to really be happy with the yarn. And this is the shipment where I included a stitch marker from Ann, so I'm super excited to have those out in the world. (The theme of the yarn club is The Poisoned…[Read more]
