Going Well: Setting aside an hour and getting more done than I anticipated in that hour. Meeting production targets. This is the first time I have checked in!
Working On: Trying to decide on a display for the next big show I will be vending at, in March. Related to that a theme for my bags for the show. I am also following the Take A Break…[Read more]

@lea-ann-mcgregor it is all in tripods. What device you are using will tell you what type of tripod to get. Cheapest way to start is desktop, but you can get floor models that will allow you to shoot over your shoulder or in your lap.

You can also ask what their pay scale is, if they have been doing this a while.

what's going well
I got a project to a client yesterday (orig due last friday, they asked me to move it) they love it (so far). They were told by others it was a crazy hard project and on and on and expensive to boot. Yeah, some of it sucked as there wasn't a way to automatically convert data, but instead of a huge team, with the right tools I…[Read more]

Thank you, @katherine-sanders!
I'm slowly working through the suggestions. I'm waiting on twelve washcloths (4 4-packs) drying so I can take better photos. I've found one model and have four other potentials. If those work out I'll only need the mannequin heads for a few sizes.

@tanja-osswald here are some marketing steps that could be done by another person (you would basically just give them a copy of the pattern and tell them to run with it):
– finding bloggers and podcasters to review the pattern or make one and show it off to their audience
– organizing a crochet-along either via your blog, a social media site like…[Read more] -

Does anyone know anything about teaching for Skillshare? I think I understand kinda how it works..that you shoot your own classes, but how are they to work with?
I have seen some bad reviews on line, but mostly about the transactions by students/subscribers.

If any of you were thinking about hiring Jess to do copy work for you, DO IT! She rewrote the listings for my yarn bases and made them complete fit my branding. I couldn't be happier with the work she did. Very much worth it and then some.

Thank you @dana-gervais 🙂 I need to confirm exactly how long she'll use the pattern for, but my understanding is 3 months only. It will be exclusive content for the course.
I will be retaining all rights, just not publishing it myself while she is using it. I will be publishing after the exclusivity is over.
Thank you very much for your…[Read more]
