@dana-gervais Oh my goodness! I went to your website to see when the KAL was and look for more info to share… The socks in your gallery are absolutely gorgeous – I want them all! Unfortunately I'm not a knitter. 🙁 I need to find someone who knits your patterns in those gorgeous colors and sells the socks.
Anyway, since I'm not a knitter…[Read more]

Hey Captains!
I'm hosting my first ever KAL!! I'm anxious and excited at the same time. The KAL is being run in my Ravelry Group. I would love it if you would help spread the word – there will be fun and prizes! Also, I'm open to prize donations – I promise to promote the heck out of your business if you donate a prize 🙂

I've been so focused on getting stuff off my lists that I haven't taken a spare moment to come to the Starship. So, welcome new captains. Please talk in the forums! For those of us who don't make chat it is the only way we get to know you.

Jess Cook replied to the topic New Product for a semi large show in the forum Engineering 8 years, 6 months ago
Hey @dawn-craig! I like both of Tanja's suggestions. If you can sell them later (like in your online shop) then I'd say make extra as long as you can afford to do so. If you're worried about them just languishing if they don't sell at this show then just bring 20-30 and have one designated as a sample so people can flip through and fill out…[Read more]

I've just sent my first campaign to the folk on my mailing list. It was just about shop update times before Christmas, but I could feel all the blood draining from my face as I pushed ‘GO'. I'm sure many of you have felt the same when you sent your first campaign.

@leigh1351956 that sounds like blogging, podcasts and (online) teaching would be totally your thing. Why not make money with those, too? You can talk about what makes your bags special and people who followed you for a while will see it as extra wonderful to get one of your handmade bags.
