I actually use Envisioknit which is similar to Stitch Mastery. When I was looking for software, both of these came up. I asked a fellow designer who also does colorwork. She suggested Envisioknit. I have been very happy with it.

I only follow people I want to see in my IG feed. Even though I post for biz, I have not switched to a biz account….so I enjoy what's in my feed for more personal reason and post stuff that's on target for my audience. A lot of it is similar. I follow tons of yarnie people because I like their work or I want to keep up on what they're publishing…[Read more]

what's going well & whatcha' workin' on?
Finding more writing time is happening more easily than I expected. Yay! Even with that, I'm still fine-tuning my day, now it's more of figuring out where I like working outside the house that doesn't always have a coffee tax. Some days are better than others. The opening of a bookstore and the (surprise)…[Read more]

Do you mean charting software like StitchMastery? Or downloadable knitting fonts?
I use Stitchmastery for all of my charting, and I'm very happy with it. They have a free trial version that you can download to test it out.

I started my BuJo as of this year after wanting to start for over a 2 years (perfectionist in me kept procrastinating) and I love it! For me it's an ongoing process which gives me the chance to let my inner perfectionist stay in bed.

TLDR: You need to decide if you want to share that part of who you are and what you stand for with your (potential) customers for yourself. You obviously have a handle on the pros and cons to putting items like this for sale, so you have thought about it and I think your heart / feeling is something you should put next to those pros and cons.
If…[Read more]

I'm looking for recommendations for knitting font software, including your take on the pros and cons. If this subject has been discussed before, I apologize for bringing it up again as a new thread but I didn't find anything when I did a search. [Maybe someone could also give me tips on effective searching :)]
Thanks,

Lots of the world doesn't speak English. Your fans might be international 🙂 I have a ton of people from Japan, Germany, France, Russia and Norway. Most of them don't speak English, but they do buy and engage consistently.
I would focus on your tagging rather than the following.

@jess-cook That's great! It covers so many aspects of the term. I love the pinterest idea with captains; those are great shows. Mine may be a bit like Gilligan's Island. 🙂

Thanks everyone! I had been only following pages that I am interested in, but seem to have the same people like everything I post even though I haven't followed them. Some seem to be ones saying ‘get more followers”, “get more business” , and lots that seem to be crochet but aren't in English. Glad to know you all seem to think it's fine to not…[Read more]

@michelle-ecklor last year my word was “captain” and I kind of used it in this way. The captain is in charge of the ship – the captain has to keep her cool under any situation, and react to anything that comes up but also plan ahead so as to not always be reactionary, if that makes sense. I wanted to remind myself that I'm in charge of this…[Read more]
