Mile markers don't have to be worked off one after another. Sometimes, you have to work on several together, or start one, finish the other, get back to the first. After all “mile marker” is just a name. If you have your goals and your tasks sorted out, it does not matter whether they fit into a scheme. The scheme is just there to help you get…[Read more]

That makes sense… I plan each month all at once so I'd need to tweak that part but that makes more sense. I think part of it for me might be that I'm not seeing EACH small to do… to me the pictures are part of writing the blog because I always do them at the same time.
So my next one is 4 new kits ready for shows. I'm only coming up with 4…[Read more]

First, of course you can use mile markers any way that works for you. 10 mile markers and 5 to-dos are just a guideline.
Second, why not have mile markers like First post done, second post done… tenth post done?
And the todos would be something like 1. plan content, 2. write content, 3. find nice pictures to add, … 5. post in the blog. -

I'm having trouble coming up with 10 mile markers for one of my goals…
I want to have 10 blog posts by the end of March (one a week) and 2-3 back up posts for weeks that something happens and I need something to post
This is what I have so far
1. Planning for Jan
2. Planning for Feb
3. Planning for March
4. Posts for Jan
5. Posts for Feb

Thank you, @donna-jones! I feel much better now I've got this off my plate.

Think you made the right decision. I also agree with @grace-shalom-hopkins re lack of respect. Doing stuff for exposure/free is ok if it will work for you, and you need to decide what you are happy or not to sacrifice -I would not be willing to sacrifice my rights unless for a very decent fee (modest as my designs might be!!)

I have envisioknit on my old PC which I've enjoyed using. But I now have MacBook and last time I checked there wasn't a mac version. Stitch mastery is widely used in the industry I believe and comes in mac version so I'll be switching over to it.

Thank you all! I slept over the issue once more and this morning, I canceled our cooperation. I told her I was happy to work with her on other conditions.

Good for you for not being pressured into undervaluing your yarn! I know this process sucks for you, but if nothing else it seems to be re-affirming your decision that you're doing the right thing.

I'm just starting with StitchMastery and thoroughly recommend it.
It's a very powerful program and does most of what I want fairly easily. Joeli has made some very useful videos about it, eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yw0DbrXAcHI
The help available in the Ravelry group, both from the author and others, is second to none – I've been posting…[Read more]
