Linda, I'm so sorry about your loss. *hug*
I don't really have any specific advice, but I'll say that you shouldn't feel the need to share exactly why you had to take a break. “Personal matter” is all that you need to say. It's completely your decision with how much you feel comfortable sharing.

Hi Lisa. I might be able to help you! I do graphic and layout design, and I also own StitchMastery for charting (although I could make charts in Illustrator as well). Not sure if you are looking for help with knitting or with crochet, but I can handle both. Please feel free to take a look at my services on http://www.newgrowthknits.com and give me a…[Read more]

Hi- I already have the pattern template designed, I just need someone to copy and paste from Word into In-Design template. In terms of charts, I occasionally need someone to do a lace or colorwork chart in Illustrator (I do in excel, but then it can't be resized in a way that doesn't affect line weights, etc., so need to do in Illustrator. And…[Read more]

I've got one too, but I wouldn't pay a graphic designer to make charts. Perhaps @lisa-barnes you could give a little detail?

I'm so sorry for your loss Linda. May you find comfort. {hugs}
With my technology business when I was dealing with a family medical crisis it was a slightly different social media landscape. I approached each client on a case-by-case basis based on deadlines and their needs and my ability to do work.
I'm honestly not sure exactly how I plan to…[Read more]

what's going well & whatcha' workin' on?
Eh. It's been a weird week (understatement much?). A few things are trying to gang up and bully me (note: things not people/clients), but I'm not letting them beat me up. I'm making progress, not always as speedy as I'd like.
My new glasses finally arrived last Thursday (my lenses come from a lab, it…[Read more]

I use a bullet journal too. I'm in a lot of facebook groups for bullet journals and I've pinned a lot of pictures of different lists and layouts. I love the versatility of the book. I can put whatever I want in it and I don't get frustrated or distracted by strict structure.

Thanks @tanja-osswald and @jess-cook for your thoughts. I was thinking it was too generic of a saying for my north star. but good to know that I can use it

Jess Cook replied to the topic Your Amazing 2017 in the forum Goals, Accountability, and Celebrations! 8 years, 5 months ago
@vicky-kooyman I think you can totally use “Just Do It” as your North Star, or maybe even the word Action. Then you can think, when it comes time to make a decision – what's the easiest way to start taking Action on this? How can I just keep making progress without over-thinking? What's the first step, etc.?
Good luck with it!!

@tanja-osswald you've gotten some great ideas here! I would just add that one thing you might want to do is take a look at some other designers who have put together e-book pattern collections, and see how they tied together their photos. Anything from a Knit Picks ebook to those made by designers like Tin Can Knits, Jane Richmond, Wooly Wormhead,…[Read more]

Are you looking for this person to create the pattern template as well or just plug into a template you've already got? I think I can find you a lead I'm just not sure which you're wanting! 🙂
