I got a “correction” email on this. Don't know what was changed, but here's the fresh link.

You are perfectly right, a name is fun but not the key. That's great of you to focus on the important stuff and not get side-tracked by annoying smaller things.

If anyone wants to check out what Extreme Productivity is, you can try this workshop online on March 3.

I know, about the name, @tanja-osswald, but I figured it was probably only me who thought it was fun and seriously, people who worry about confusion and tiny bits of competition give me a big pain the ass and I just want to get past that sort of thing and focus on what I am doing. That has been a huge positive–that I have just not allowed myself…[Read more]

@c-c-almon I checked my email to her, and I'm just using jill@jillwolcottknits.com. She can try jwdzines@silcon.com if that continues not to work.

What a pity you had to let go of SwatchUCation. That was a catchy name.
But a big yay for doing ALL THE THINGS and for almost selling out your workshop!
And it is great that you just deal with all those hurdles, and not let them stop you.

what's going well & whatcha' workin' on?
Good days. Bad days. Fast days. Slow days. Some are definitely better than others. Here's hoping the crap of the last few weeks is over (aging family. budget stress. etc.) and I'm back to moving forward.
Today I have a swatch for a sample knit I need to count stitches on, I'm hoping it's kind to me.
how…[Read more]

What's going well?
Several months ago, I asked about teaching in Cologne in summer. Some weeks ago, I send another email though I pretty much thought she had forgotten about me and was done with her festival planning. An hour ago, I got an enthusiastic yes. 🙂
Pattern sales picked up a bit last week – that's a relief.
Whatcha' workin'…[Read more] -

@jill-wolcott Our VA Deb has been trying to email you, but the emails keep being returned to her as undeliverable. Any thoughts?

The past 10 day have been trying. Some things going quite well, but there being so many glitches I have been pulling my hair out. Spent 3 hours on MailChimp last evening trying to fix a problem (and they inadvertently created another one) and then another hour this morning finally straightening it all out. While attending to that and trying to…[Read more]

Oh @carolien-muller-genger I hate analytics. They always make me feel bad, but once I found tiny ways I could look at my progress in a positive way, that is what I do. I don't sell yarn (which is way sexier than what I sell), so it is typical to have lulls and I've had to find ways to be okay with it. I like it when people respond nicely to my…[Read more]

Thank you @tanja-osswald. I could not imagine that this is something I need to worry about. It is not like I am a big exporter of products haha!

Tanja Osswald replied to the topic International Taxes – shipping from US in the forum Engineering 8 years, 4 months ago
I can't tell you about other countries but in Europe, if you sell a physical good to a customer based in Europe, you don't have to pay taxes below a yearly sales volume of at least 34,000 Euro (per country). They might change that, since they were oh so happy to collect taxes from the first cent for non-physical goods like pdf patterns. But I…[Read more]

@jill-wolcott tnx! I guess I'm still learning how to use and read the analytics and most of the time I just skip them as I tend to do whatever I want anyways 😉 I only send a newsletter when I have something to say and my updates are just when I have things to update. No schedule, since it doesn't work for me yet. So I guess everyone comes…[Read more]

I apologize if this has already been discussed but after a quick perusal, I could not find anything. So my question.
I am in the process of setting up a new website using Shopify. During this process, when I got to the Shipping and Taxes portion, I hit a snag. Set up is not problem but it showed all the international taxes. I have shipped…[Read more]

Yay to @carolien-muller-genger and @carmen-nuland. @carolien-muller-genger, holidays, day of the week and month can all impact traffic–and what others are doing, which cannot be tracked. I mostly hate looking at analytics, but I know that most of my newsletter opens happen right after they arrive, but then get another bump at 8 am the next…[Read more]

Hi, I've been doing Extreme Productivity for a couple of months and have really seen an improvement in what I'm getting done–I'm totally able to get stuff done, but the quality has gone through the roof. If you are interested, you might like to get a free consultation with Patti Lustig.

I also underuse pinterest. I have some IFTTT recipes set up so all of my blog posts and IG posts are pinned, and I make sure all of my patterns make it to several community boards, but mostly, Pinterest is kind of a mystery to me. I use it personally, but the business side of it kind of intimidates me.
